Amazon Is Holding My Money Unjustly – Has Anyone Experienced This?

I’m facing a serious issue with Amazon and want to share my story to warn other sellers and seek advice from anyone who has dealt with a similar situation.
Summary of the Issue:
I am a legitimate seller on Amazon. My account was previously suspended over a year ago due to unknowingly selling a product that violated copyright.
After a long time, Amazon unexpectedly reinstated my account without any prior notice.
When I logged in, I discovered that all the funds in my account—$2,231.42—had been deducted without any clear explanation.
In my Payments Report, Amazon simply labeled the charge as "Other", without any further details.
What Have I Done to Get an Explanation from Amazon?
I have contacted Amazon Seller Support at least 17 times to request a breakdown of this charge.
Every time, I only received generic, vague responses like:
“We have forwarded your concern to the appropriate team and will update you soon.”
“The deduction might be related to account-level or transaction-level fees.”
After multiple follow-ups, Amazon suddenly asked me to verify my identity again, even though they were the ones who reinstated my account in the first place.
After I submitted the verification, they sent me an email instructing me to contact a law firm, the same firm that sued me over a year ago for a copyright issue.
Why Is This a Problem?
If this was a legitimate charge, Amazon should be transparent and provide a detailed explanation along with supporting documents.
Instead, they have deliberately delayed, responded vaguely, and refused to provide any specific evidence.
The bigger question is: Why would Amazon reinstate my account just to take all of my funds? If this was a copyright-related penalty, why didn’t they deduct the funds at the time of my suspension over a year ago?
Questions for the Community:
Has anyone experienced a similar situation where Amazon delayed responses and withheld funds without proper justification?
How can I force Amazon to provide a clear, itemized breakdown of the charge?
Where can I escalate this issue to get a faster resolution?
I strongly believe that Amazon is abusing its power to withhold sellers' funds—especially in cases where accounts have been previously suspended.
