How to access addresses from old orders?

Hi

I'm trying to look up addresses from previous orders (maybe 2+ years but more recent is fine too) so I can input them into a map. I've looked through the reports but can't seem to find them. Can anyone please provide some insight?

Thank you!

Dave

They are not available, mine disappear after about two weeks.

After delivery has been completed, customer addresses are removed. In the event that a customer requests a return, their return shipping address will appear in the return details.

For FBA you never know name and address, for FBM like the others said, they disappear after the delivery.

Yah, the customer addresses disappear as they are not your customer, they are Amazon's.

Regarding FBM orders, you'd better keep the data locally because the Amazon system periodically deletes the past data as it belongs to Amazon. Data from 2 years ago is too old to be obtained

If the orders are under a month old, you can get the address by reprinting the shipping label.

I thought I'd read on these forms that there was a report that you could download that had shipping addresses still in place for merchant fulfilled items for older orders, but I don't remember the specifics of which report it was.

While this info won't help for most prior orders .. I have always printed off 2 copies of the packing slip to include 1 copy with the order being sold and the other for my yearly files .. You can also save the packing slip as a PDF (in lieu of printing) to have future access if needed .. I have been blessed with numerous repeat buyers .. even my post office guy recognizes some of their addresses at this point .. best of luck .. KJ @Seller_ITSm6TMeixAhB

I will confirm what other said and will add a small twist.

Amazon removes customer address fairly soon after the order is fulfilled. I saw some cases when Amazon removed the address even before the delivery was made (even though we shipped via Next or 2-Day service.

There is no way to access that information again. Amazon CS won't provide that info either, most likely. If you are using your own UPS/FedEx account, you might be able to find that info in the carrier's old invoices if they are accessible to you or you saved them.

This whole address removal thing is actually controversial, in my opinion, and is not thought out by Amazon very well. It creates a conflict among Amazon's policies, rules, and processes.

In general, Amazon states in the Selling Policies and Seller Code of Conduct (Link) that "If you receive customer information such as addresses or phone numbers to fulfill orders, you may use that information only to fulfill orders and must delete it after the order has been processed. You may not use customer information to contact customers (except through Buyer-Seller Messaging) or share it with any third-party."

So, basically, it says that after you fulfill the order you must delete that info (if you saved it at all).

At the same time, if it comes to a SAFE-T claim at a later date, for example, Amazon SAFE-T team might (and often will) ask you for your invoice, showing what was shipped, serial number, and... where it was shipped, i.e. customer information. Well, just a normal invoice that any business would have for any sale, containing full information. Shall you provide an invoice with an incorrect shipping address (or redacted), you might (and, most likely, will) be denied reimbursement.

Now, how is seller supposed to provide a proper and correct invoice when customer's information is no longer available and Amazon does not allow sellers to store it in the first place? LOL

After the address disappeared from the order page, I use Reprint to get the address for claim purposes or the customer inquiry.
