Welcome back to the Listings Lounge! Grab a snack, take a seat and let’s dive into how product inserts can enhance your connection with customers.

If you haven’t used product inserts yet, you should give it a try. Product inserts can be beneficial for both sellers and customers for several reasons, take a peak below to find out how.

1. Customer Engagement - Product inserts can be a great way to engage with customers on a more personable level by including thank you notes, and discount cards for future purchases.

2. Brand Awareness - Product inserts can help increase brand awareness by including info about your brand story, values and other products pr services you may offer.

3. Upselling - Product inserts allow you the ability to promote related products or accessories that complement the original purchase.

4. Info Sharing - Product inserts can provide important info such as care instructions, assembly guides pr tips on getting the most out of the product.

DO

- Do include a product insert that thanks customers for their purchase and request that they leave a review based on their experience

DON’T

- Don’t include a product insert if it will influence or impact the feedback a customer leaves in the Amazon community

- Don’t include in a product insert any offers for compensation, incentives, refunds and gift cards for providing a product review

- Don’t include in a product insert a request that the customer contacts you outside of the Buyer-Seller Messaging platform

Product insets can enhance the customer experience, increase brand loyalty. potentially drive additional sales and most important provide a connection between you and the customer. As a customer, I always get excited when a product insert is included in my package. It shows me that the seller has taken extra steps to engage with me and I appreciate the extra attention to details.

I think a lot of sellers were under the impression that inserts were not permissible especially ones that offer discounts because it can be considered manipulation for reviews. You are contradicting yourself by saying, yes, include discount cards for future use and no to not include incentives.

@Rose_Amazon What about after-market care? Once the Amazon return window has closed they need to know how to contact us for repairs and warranty coverages. We had one customer find us and said that it auto responds from Amazon it is outside of the return window and contact the manufacturer. How would they know how to contact us if there is no contact information included?
