Error code 5885

What does it mean when you get Error Code 5885?

As per the Amazon Generic Product policy, you are not authorized to change the product detail page. This includes modification, copying the product into a different store, or adding new offers to an existing generic product. You can create a new ASIN for a product by following the process outlined in the Add a Product tool to create listings one by one, and Add Products via Upload for bulk listings. For more information, go to Amazon Generic Product policy. If you believe you are complying with our policy, go to Selling Partner Support and mention error code 5885.

When contacting Selling Partner Support, you will have to provide the following information:

* Product title

* SKU

* ASIN

* If you are using an inventory file template, provide Batch ID of inventory file process report.

If the issue persists, go to Seller Central and create a thread in Forums with the details and Case ID from when you reached out to Seller Support.
