I submitted my application to the brand registry and got rejected about one month ago. Do you know the difference between Brand Approvals and Brand Registry on Amazon? I’m here to explain. 🙋‍♀️

Think of it this way: Brand Approval is getting permission to sell someone else's brand, while Brand Registry is registering and protecting your own brand on Amazon with a trademark.

Here’s a break down on what each program offers!

Brand Approvals: Permission to sell someone else's brand

  • Required permission to sell specific brands
  • Applies to sellers wanting to sell existing brands
  • Requires documentation (invoices, authorization letters, etc.)
  • You don't own the brand, you're getting permission to sell it

Brand Registry: Registering and protecting your own brand on Amazon with a trademark.

Note: If you are not the trademark owner but have a relationship with the brand owner, you can also request a selling role or a protection role and be added to represent the brand.

  • Brand Registry is a program for brand owners to protect their own brands
  • You must own/represent the trademarked brand
  • Requires registered or pending trademarks
  • Gives brand owners tools such as...Enhanced content (A+ Content), Brand store creation, Brand analytics, Protection against intellectual property violations, Brand reporting tools and more!

Note: If sellers don’t have a trademark but want to list under a brand that does not exist on Amazon, please reference the Brand name approval requirements and issue resolution.

PREMIUM SHIPPING REFUNDS

We are selling a product which is $17.99 and the customer pays for UPS next day shipping which is $45. So when the customer wants to return the product Amazon issues a full refund so we end up having $45 loss just from the shipping and also the returned product whether it is resalable or not. WHY AMAZON DOESNT PROTECT SELLER FROM THIS PREMIUM SHIPPING SCAM?! If a buyer wants to hurt a seller he can go with premium shipping and the damage will be huge!

CPC certificate review 2+ months no update!

It has been 2+ months of zero updates on our children’s products’ compliance review. We have contacted the relevant teams including account health and seller support on a weekly basis. However, the only update we receive is there is no update.

Is anyone else encountering this inefficiency? And happen to know why Amazon is so disinterested in reviewing compliance documents?

What has worked to help you get your documents to be reviewed across your ASIN(s)? We are awaiting review for 4 ASINs currently.

Authenticity Complaint- FAKE

Received a fake authenticity complaint- not sure if this is a competitor or someone who wanted a free product, as they were automatically refunded but we never received the product back. I am now blocked from the entire brand, which houses majority of my products.

I have supplied Amazon with my invoice, the invoice from my supplier from THEIR supplier (the literal brand I'm selling), my bank statement showing proof of purchase, and the email receipt with transaction ID/tracking info/matching info to my bank statement. My case keeps being closed without resolution.

I am at a total loss of what to do here. Any help would be appreciated.

A friend of mine has an Amazon seller account and now Amazon is saying that I am the owner of my friend's account because he opened his account at my house. I have been sending appeals but they keep responding with a generic message saying that I need to send a document saying that I am the owner, but I am not. What can I do to get my account reactivated again and that they not says that I am associated with my friend's account?

Not sure if anyone else has noticed but changing the quantity of an item that's set to zero now takes additional clicks and more time.

In the past, changing a quantity of an item that's at zero took literally two clicks.

You'd click into the quantity field, change the number, then click save. The process is still currently the same for an item that already has inventory.

But now, you need to click on the number 0 to bring up some side menu, go into the field there, change the quantity there THEN click save. Now it takes 3 clicks.

It's incredibly frustrating it is that Amazon keeps rolling out these changes that makes things less efficient. It's not the first time this happens either. What is going on?

EDIT: it's actually even worse than i thought. before if you had several SKU's at a 0 QTY, then you'd be able to click into the field, increase the quantity for each field, then click save for several sku's.

Now you need to click "Save" for every individual SKU.

It just feels like Amazon hates us. I'm not even mad anymore. just embarrassed, disappointed and frustrated. i know a change like this seems minor but it's extremely discouraging to see updates like this get rolled out constantly. if this keeps up, i fear amazon will go the way of other marketplaces. once the marketplace stops listening to it's sellers is generally when the decline starts.

We have been a reputable Amazon book seller since 2017 selling tens of millions of dollars worth of sales, and are facing a buy box eligibility issue that has severely impacted the success of our business.

Some example ASINs we are not eligible for are: 3035802424, 8323350558, 0830787496 and 3838214811.

We have opened case ID 17390400701 and did not receive a helpful response. All of our metrics are excellent such as ODR below 0.1%, over 94% ODTR, over 90% positive feedback, and 1000 AHR.

Due to the ineligibility, our sales are down over 80% and we desperately require help for an expedited buy box review if anyone has any advice how to do so.

After exhausting all possible appeal channels without success, I am reaching out here as a last resort in the hope of finding a resolution.

Why Was My Account Suspended?

My Amazon seller account has been suspended for nearly 7 months under Section 3 of the Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement due to inauthentic complaints. This happened despite the fact that:

  • The product in question was sold only during a 4-month online arbitrage period, during which I purchased it directly from Amazon.com, a marketplace where counterfeit products are not supposed to exist.
  • There were zero complaints, negative reviews, or even returns from customers.
  • At the time of the suspension, I had already transitioned to working exclusively as an authorized reseller for brands.

I Have Provided Every Document Possible

Despite having every necessary document to prove my legitimacy, I have made zero progress in 7 months. I have submitted:

  • Official invoices for the reviewed product
  • Bank statements showing payment for the product
  • Amazon customer service confirmation proving the product’s authenticity
  • Order confirmation, order shipped, and order delivered emails
  • Prep center invoice for packaging, labeling, and shipping
  • Delivery proof

No Matter What I Do, Nothing Changes

In my desperate attempts to resolve this, I have:

  • Submitted dozens of appeals via the Account Health page
  • Spoken to Account Health representatives on the phone
  • Sent emails to all available Amazon support channels
  • Contacted Amazon Seller Support via Twitter
  • Even mailed Amazon's legal department

Yet, nothing has changed. Every response simply states that my documents have not been accepted, without explaining why.

A Seller Left in Limbo

The worst part is being abandoned in complete uncertainty. All I want is to run a legal business and make an honest living, yet Amazon has taken away my only source of income with no clear justification.

Amazon, please review my case thoroughly and provide a clear path forward. I am willing to cooperate in any way necessary to resolve this issue and regain access to my account.
