Hello Amazon,

Now I'm feeling very bad and stressed. I need urgent help!! My account just got deactivated and I need it to be activated again!!

I've everything verified in the INFORM Consumers Act except the Tax Verification which I'm having troubles with and I already have open cases about it that are in progress that you are helping me with. Also the IRS is helping me which will take some weeks to be finished. It doesn't make any sense to deactivate my account when we are fixing the issues that I'm having. So please activate my account ASAP while the process is getting fixed.

Another Switcheroo Return - Expensive Item

Creating this case to get out in front of what I believe will be another fight with a switcheroo returner.

(sigh* - we finally wrapped up another case after 5 hard fought months a couple weeks ago, negative seller feedback was finally removed)

- Buyer ordered an expensive smartwatch from us.

- Buyer opens return saying the screen is cracked and not working.

- Buyer returns a broken watch with a cracked screen and a different serial number.

- We charged a 100% restocking fee and inform the buyer of their mix up. We explain to them that they can send the original watch back to us for a refund and also provide us with a prepaid return label if they would like us to ship the incorrectly returned watch back to them

We expect to need further assistance with this order in the near future, thank you mods for your continued help and support here on the forums, you have truly helped us over the years getting things like this handled. We are calling on you again for support with this post.

USPS Buy Shipping Abuse by Seller

We have been selling on Amazon for about 15 years now and fulfill thousands of Amazon orders per week from our warehouses. We primarily distribute brands that are not our own, so we are used to dealing with competition on listings. Throughout these 15 years we have seen competitors do a lot of crazy things and have seen many of them come and go. I thought I had seen it all until one seller began driving the price down on thousands of listings that we are on.

Our industry is hard to break into, so a new competitor is very rare. We figured that they would eventually raise their prices to reasonable levels once they figured out they weren’t making enough profit, but they never did. After about 6 months we began investing and placing test orders with them to determine how they were offering such low prices, and it was what we thought. They are buying USPS labels from Amazon’s Buy Shipping and are entering incorrect dimensions and weights to get cheaper shipping costs. I have placed over 10 orders with them and on every single one the dimensions and weight have been wrong according to documents provided to me by the USPS. On one order, the box that they shipped was 52x9x9 and weighed over 14 lbs. It was shipped USPS and the dimensions that they entered were 11x9x6 with a weight of 6 lbs.

This seller is using Buy Shipping to defraud the USPS and is gaining an unfair advantage on thousands of ASINs. Amazon knows the dimensions of their items so wouldn’t it raise a red flag if they were consistently purchasing labels with dimensions that are drastically less than the actual item dimensions of the item? Amazon would normally deduct that additional shipping amount, but none of these packages have been dimensioned or weighed by USPS because they claim that not all of their facilities have that equipment. I have used the “Report Abuse” link on the Account Health page to notify Amazon. I am also working with the USPS Revenue Assurance Department and Postal Inspection Service. Has anyone dealt with this before? Is there anything else I should be doing? I’m hoping that a moderator will be able to weigh in on this.

Hello everyone,

I'm seeking advice on an urgent issue. After being so suddenly instructed by Amazon to update my tax information to comply with the INFORM Consumers Act, I submitted my EIN. However, it's been three days and the system still shows the update as "in progress."

I'm concerned because I've heard of similar cases six months ago where sellers' accounts were unfairly deactivated due to delays in processing tax updates. This has had significant business impacts. Has anyone else faced this? How can you safeguard against deactivation?

I've already opened a case with Amazon support (Case ID: 17231689701).

Hello fellow sellers,

I’m noticing an issue in our Amazon Advertising campaign where competitor products show up when our brand-specific keywords are used. We’ve been careful to target our product keywords, yet competitors seem to show up when our brand-specific keywords are alongside or even above our ads.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how did you resolve it? Are there any specific settings or adjustments we should be aware of to prevent competitor ads from appearing in our campaigns?

Any insights or best practices would be greatly appreciated!

Hello Amazon Seller Community,


I'm reaching out in urgent need of assistance from Amazon Moderators.


Since February 13th, my Seller Central dashboard has been displaying a worrying alert: "Your account is at risk of deactivation" due to an ongoing tax verification issue, required for compliance with the INFORM Consumers Act.


For security, I've updated the tax information (without changing anything because all information has remained the same and accurate for over 3 years). I saved and downloaded the tax interview.


Despite the "Tax Information" page confirming that my tax details have been "validated successfully" (screenshot attached), the warning of risk of deactivation persists.


Four days ago, I asked for help from Health Support, and they told me that it's an Amazon technical error and that my account is safe, active, and normal, and to wait for 24-72 business hours for the dashboard to get refreshed.

Four days have passed but the warning of risk of deactivation persists. I also opened a case with seller support - CASE ID - 17228260541.


I really don’t know what else to do. I'm very worried and feel alone in this situation.

Im part of the brand registry waiver (SophiasDreaming) for handmade sellers and use to get them for many years ...

I recently submitted my INFORM Consumers Act verification using the same information as last year. However, a few days later, I received a warning stating, "Your account is at risk of deactivation," with the Tax ID verification still in progress and no actions available except to wait.

I contacted support, who said it was a technical error and advised me to wait 72 hours for resolution. But it's more than 72 hours, and I still have this warming.

For the INFORM Consumers Act, I already declared last month and suddenly i'm having this message "Your account is at risk of deactivation".

This is really shocking to us. Such messaging is really terrible.

What I can see is "Tax Verification (In Progress)" and I can't do anything else. When I declared, I merely accepted what I submitted last year so what's the problem and when can it be resolved?
