Well @Seller_EkbLZUYSpmJEy, you are in luck as we are happy to announce the launch of the new “Follow Discussion” feature on Seller Forums, so our sellers will never miss an update on the conversations that matter to them most.

This new feature is easy to use!

Simply click the new “Follow” button on any discussion of interest and you’ll get a pop-up on the Notifications tab whenever there is new activity.

You’ll also be able to see a summary of your Followed discussions in the new Follow filters on the home, discussions, and profile pages.

Also just in case you caught it in the screenshot above, the ability to follow sellers and Community Manager is coming soon. Please stay tuned!

Tax calculations for FBM sellers

I apologize if this subject has already been discussed.

Rather than use the tax form submitted by Amazon to calculate my taxes, I did the following.

I totaled all my payments from Amazon for 2024 from my checking account deposits.

From this amount, I subtracted my shipping costs from my detailed records since I pay for shipping at the USPS post office.

I then calculated the number of miles that I drove to the USPS near me times the allowable rate and deducted this amount.

I then looked at how much I spent purchasing shipping supplies for 2024 and deducted this amount.

The final result would appear to be my profit for the year since all the deductions by Amazon from my account would have not appeared in what they paid me.

While I'm not certain yet how to indicate this all on my tax forms, I believe that the figure at least should be correct.

What I did appears much simpler than dealing with the complex form that Amazon sent me.

Hello,

I tried to resolve this issue with Support but had no luck.

How Amazon can calculate the Competitive price of $3.49 if according to the new Amazon policy Sourcing Cost for this product is $3.05?

This is absurd, how will you be able to profit from this item if Amazon FBA fees on this item are $4.55? Your system gets numbers outside Amazon without any additional fees such as Shipping, Labor, etc, and then removes BuyBox thinking the price is too high on Amazon.

That insane way of treating sellers like that.

Hello everyone,

I'm reaching out to this community in hopes that someone might offer advice or share experiences related to my current situation with my Amazon Seller account. On March 20, 2024, I received a notification that my seller account was deactivated due to violations of Amazon’s policies, specifically concerning FBA credit reimbursement abuse. This has been incredibly stressful for me and my family, and I’m at a loss for what to do next.

I run a small business called Random Deal, which has been thriving thanks to Amazon’s platform. However, things took a turn when I shipped 100 units of ASIN: B00TMM7VG8 on January 17, 2024. While Amazon only confirmed the receipt of 2 units, I mistakenly opened a reimbursement case without properly understanding the reconciliation guidelines. Additionally, I raised the price of the product to $399.99 in an attempt to prevent any sales until all units were received, but I forgot to lower it back to the standard range, which contributed to the violation.

Despite multiple appeals with detailed Plans of Action outlining the mistakes and corrective measures taken (including hiring an Amazon regulations expert and dismissing the employees responsible), I have received repeated denials. Amazon stated that they would not reinstate my account due to ongoing violations related to their FBA Lost and Damaged Inventory Reimbursement Policy.

What I've Tried:

- Submitted multiple appeals with thorough Plans of Action.

- Detailed root cause analysis and corrective actions, including process improvements and employee training.

- Expressed the significant impact this has had on my business and family.

Unfortunately, every appeal resulted in the same response: my account will remain deactivated, and funds will be blocked for 90 days.

At this point, I'm feeling hopeless and overwhelmed. Has anyone here experienced a similar situation? What steps did you take to either get your account reinstated or at least receive some guidance from Amazon? Are there other channels I could pursue, such as contacting Seller Support directly or enlisting help from an expert in these matters?

Best way to sell used book inventory as a lot?

I don't think I can offer it here, can't remember, it's been a while. I listed on my local FB page and CL. About 150 books and I will throw in a nice wood bookcase. Also listed on EBay with local pickup. I am NOT interested in converting to FBA, I am retired and just want to get out of the business. Should I just give up and donate them somewhere?

I recently submitted my INFORM Consumers Act verification using the same information as last year. However, a few days later, I received a warning stating, "Your account is at risk of deactivation," with the Tax ID verification still in progress and no actions available except to wait.

I contacted support, who said it was a technical error and advised me to wait 72 hours for resolution. But it's more than 72 hours, and I still have this warming.

Sales Have Fallen Off Drastically

I realize there are a lot of posts like this that pop up from time to time with people reporting their sales have really fallen off. I don't mean to create yet another one just to bemoan this fact as I'm sure a lot of other people have experience this too, but this is quite severe.

It was like a flip switched mid-December. I've been selling on Amazon for five years and have a lot of data to show what I expect to be selling relative to other years. I went from nearly 1500-1800 sales a month down to maybe 350 at most. My January was down 80% from the previous January. I haven't changed anything, and the sudden nature of it makes me feel like something in the algorithm has changed rather than it being a subtle creep of competition.

Perhaps I'm missing something and there was an announcement as to some policy that changed. I'm FBM and have never been FBA.

Hello everyone,

I usually sell my products everyday but since the end of january and clearly now in february I've noticed that my sales went down almost to zero. I suddenly have a very hard time selling my inventory. Coincidence that this happened at the same time I got deactivation warning for the INFORM Consumers Act. Also the refund policy Amazon has is killing my profit.

Does anyone else experience this same type of problem?

According to the notification, we need to provide details in compliance with INFORM Consumers Act, which were already submitted more than a week ago.

The notification was removed but once again this is being displayed, and when we click on it, it is not redirecting to any page where we can provide the missing information "If any"

I raised a case and as usual were not of any help
