Hello,
We have been successfully selling our Solar Pool Maid Mineral System on Amazon for over four years. Unfortunately, we've encountered recurring issues where our three products (ASINs: B07RZ4NMVV, B092SSWHQR, B08GYDN7NG) are mistakenly flagged and deactivated as "unregistered pesticides."
We would greatly appreciate any insights or experiences you might share to help resolve our current challenge. Here's a brief timeline of our experience:
1. Second Year (2022): - Listings were deactivated, identified as potentially making pesticidal claims. - Amazon advised us to remove any possible pesticidal language from listings and required completion of an Amazon University pesticides course. We complied fully—took the course and revised our listings. Amazon reinstated our listings promptly.
2. Second Occurrence (2024):
- Listings were deactivated again around late February/March, citing the same pesticidal issue.
- We opened a support case, clarified that our product is not a pesticide and selected "not a pesticide" in the Pesticide Marking attribute.
- Listings were quickly reinstated without further complications.
3. Current Issue (2025):
- Beginning late February, our three listings were deactivated one by one for the same pesticidal classification issue.
- Amazon support requested either an EPA Registration number or removal of pesticidal claims.
- Knowing EPA registration numbers are exclusively for chemical pesticides (which our product is not), we thoroughly scrubbed our listings—removing all potential claims, rewriting titles, descriptions, and bullet points everything is new. Changed enhanced content, changed our Amazon brand store and removed anything that may be mistaken for pesticidal claims.
- After these comprehensive revisions, one listing was briefly reactivated by Amazon but then was deactivated again after about a week, with the same reason: "Provide EPA registration number."
- Currently, after removing all possible pesticidal claims, our Safety & Compliance tab no longer even includes Pesticide Marking attribute section at all. Therefore, even if we had an EPA Registration number (which we do not, as our product is not chemical-based), there is nowhere for us to input this information. We attached screenshots of our Safety & Compliance tab where the pesticides section is missing to show in our support cases. The absence of this section seems to indicate that even Amazon's system no longer classifies our product as a pesticide.
We hired a law firm specializing in EPA regulations and they issued a letter clarifying that our products are not pesticides. We submitted this letter as supporting evidence for our open cases. Despite multiple opened support cases, we continually receive the same copy-pasted responses, instructing us to provide an EPA Registration number or remove pesticidal claims—actions we've already thoroughly taken. It seems we've hit a frustrating loop of automated replies without genuine investigation into our specific circumstances.
Given the fact that our listings no longer even contain the pesticide attribute section, we’re unsure how to proceed to get our listings reactivated. Has anyone experienced a similar issue, or can you offer guidance on how to effectively communicate this problem to Amazon's support?
For reference, our recent support case numbers are: 17396726651, 17498282711, 17180221411.
We greatly appreciate any advice or recommendations you could provide
Thank you!
Warm regards,
Stanley
