Read onlyI don't know what happened this week with AI and the back-end of inventory.
I set up shipments to go out to Amazon. A few days later, when shipping went to ship items out, they were all errored because of "high days of supply" items.
These are hot sellers that were out of stock. Since our items are handmade it can take 3-4 months to restock, so when they sell out they are out until the next build. The demand is based off of a 90 day sales flow historically. There is no aged inventory involved here. In fact, some items are flagged as "low inventory" and I still couldn't send inventory in. Thank goodness we have exemptions on these because automatic low inventory fee there.
Not only did this not error when I set up the shipments, but they seem to be pushing to use AWD which we will not do due to lack of inventory loss accountability and basically we just don't have the inventory.
We did start using Supply Chain Portal so now not only do we not have enough inventory to fit the next 90 days of demand but I can no longer use SCP for these products. Someone really needs to fix this mess!
Having this error to. This is a major issue.
Crazy how they haven't fixed this yet and seller support as usual is useless with the same automated responses.
I ran into this problem yesterday trying to send in (Handmade) restock for Mother's Day. These are things that don't really sell the rest of the year but do sell well during gifting periods. And the metric they are looking at isn't inventory age, it's days of supply. And according to them, for this item I have a 180 day supply - but that's based on past 3 months of sales, not upcoming sales events. Hopefully this is just a glitch - I'm going to keep trying to create the shipment every day until it goes through!
Same issue, and there are multiple threads on this issue many sellers are having. I've seen ZERO input from Amazon.
I'm having this same issue, I am not sure how to move forward and continue to purchase inventory when I am uncertain I can send it in.
We may temporarily restrict shipment creation for certain products to maintain an efficient, safe, and compliant fulfillment network that serves all sellers. These restrictions may apply to hazardous materials exceeding quantity limits, products undergoing dangerous goods classification, or items with excess inventory levels. We understand the importance of maintaining proper inventory levels for your business while ensuring safety and compliance.
We actively monitor inventory levels on a daily basis and adjust the restrictions accordingly. For example, excessive inventory restrictions are lifted once your products return to healthy inventory levels.
You can check your FBA Inventory page where inventory health status and total days of supply based on projected demand is displayed for each product. If you think your product shouldn’t be restricted for Seasonal Sales or Prime Day events, contact Seller Support.
For more information, the FBA team created a Help Page here with additional information, and it will continue to be updated.
