Hello Sellers!

We want to help you understand the requirements for submitting proper documentation when using trademarked content in your listings. Here's what you need to know:

What You Need & Why

If you're using another company's trademark in your listings (including product images, packaging, or detail pages), you'll need to provide either:

  • Proof of trademark ownership OR
  • A valid Letter of Authorization (LOA) from the trademark owner

Essential Components of a Valid LOA

Your documentation must include these 5 key terms:

1. Licensor (company granting the rights)

2. Licensee (company receiving the rights)

3. Grant (specific IP being licensed and scope)

4. Geographic scope (authorized territories)

5. Term (duration of authorization)

Acceptable Documentation Formats

✅ PDF documents

✅ Scanned PDF images

✅ Word documents (only for self-declarations by IP owners)

✅ Email screenshots (must be from trademark owner's company domain)

Required Elements

  • Company letterhead of the trademark owner
  • Complete agreement terms
  • Authorized signature/stamp
  • If emailed: Must come from trademark owner's official domain

Additional Note: If you don't have trademark registration in your selling region, include a declaration of IP ownership with your company stamp or authorized signature.

💡 Pro Tip: Review all documentation carefully before submission to ensure it meets these requirements. This will help avoid delays in the approval process.

First time seller
by Seller_yjbkAvRIojIw4

Hi all,

I'm having a problem creating a listing to sell products. I've located something I'd like to resell from Alibaba with a fairly decent margin (including all fee's). However when trying to sell a product, it is asking for proof of the following (see image). Now i'd imagine this isn't the first time you've all seen this, but my issue is: If I can obtain such products at a cheaper rate compared to original listing, why would they allow me to resell? Or is it Amazon who approves and not the individual seller? Lastly, if my manufacturer can't provide the proof required, is it a simple case of, I can't list the item?

TIA!!

What a shock?
by Seller_OFjSrssNgD9RS

Just received a bill for the electricity at my warehouse. These monthly bills are usually £70 or less from Opus Energy. Nothing has changed regarding using new devices etc.

Today's bill is for £700. The bill actually states that we have used 10 times the usual amount of kilowats, Phoned them and they say we have to pay it. If we cancel the direct debit they will immediately send in a debt collection agency and they will also destroy our credit rating.

It seems Opus Energy is being taken over/sold to another provider.

Seems very high handed. Don't know how to deal with this.

Does anyone else have this problem? Can anyone offer advice regarding my options for action? Help would be appreciated.

Business operating hours Buy Shipping
by Seller_gldemESC2lCHX

We have noticed a number of orders being forced to send via RM24 service on Buy Shipping.

Our usual Free shipping is RM48, however if the business opening hours are closed on that particular day then amazon only give us the option to send via RM24 at our cost. This has only just started last week, its something amazon have just introduced and its eating in to our profit. Is anyone else noticing this issue?

No Access to key metrics
by Seller_nKc43Zf9nrnUu

I am past pension age and my Amazon business supplimented my meagre pension. I make my own items to sell on Amazon.

I can log in but I get the message "You do not have access to key metrics. You may need to check your permissions for visibility" which means I cannot see what stock I have in FBA, nor send new stock in.

It seems that no matter what I do, Amazon never answers. And there is no way to contact them through Seller Central or their no-reply emails.

The letter I sent to Amazon UK Office in London was delivered 8th April 2025 and so far no response at all.

The letter I sent to Amazon USA Office in London was delivered 27th March 2025 and so far no response at all.

I have sent an Affidavit too, but still no response. This has been the events since 17/12/2024. From what I have read on various blogs I have been told to re-verify by sending copies of the following documents.

1. Driving Licence Back and front

2. Passport

3. Voter’s roll proof

All of which I have sent.

I would add that my middles name is not often used although it is showing on all my official documents. If this is a problem I can easily correct it if only I could fully log into my account. Amazon is still selling my items via FBA, but I am not Receiving money to my Bank Account even though "Amazon has shipped your sold item" notices are sent.

And quite a lot of money is piling up, as I keep the "Amazon has shipped your sold item" notices in a Microsoft Access Database Amazon FBA has been very good to me in the past few years, and I very much hope that this is not the end. of our relationship through some neglect on my part, and just a glitch.

Glad if anyone especially from Amazon can help

Thanks Guys/Gals

BRAND APPROVAL FOR ROYAL MAIL
by Seller_9YNtKL0B235h6

Hi Everyone.

We're trying to list a large number of brand new postage stamps that we've been sent by Royal Mail.

Amazon in their usual "the answer's no - what's the question?" response have declined our application to sell them. These are genuine stamps, sent to us by Royal Mail on their "swap-out" deal. We sent them the old style stamps and they sent us new ones. This means that there can be no doubt that they are genuine.

Despite sending Amazon proof of both the quantities (on an RM dispatch note) and the total value of the stamps (in the covering letter), Amazon will not let us list them.

Does anyone know why proof of the source from Royal Mail would not be acceptable in lieu of an invoice for their purchase? We bought the swapped-out stamps over many purchases and don't have the original invoices - these must also have been deemed genuine, or RM would not have sent replacements.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother.

Sales are in decline for the past few days
by Seller_cWvw8SezMxcgB

Hi,

I’ve noticed a significant decline in our sales over the past few days, and I wanted to check if anyone else is seeing a similar trend.

We haven’t made any major changes to our listings, pricing, or advertising strategies. Inventory is healthy, and there are no active suppressions or performance issues on the account. Despite this, sessions and conversions seem to be down noticeably.

Could this be related to any recent category-specific trends, or a wider seasonal slump? as we sell sporting goods.

Thank you!

I am looking at a wholesale supplier for a product that requires a purchase invoice for products from a manufacturer or distributor. Does amazon class a wholesaler as a distributer or are the completely different things?

If not, is there some kind method to find out if a supplier is an authorised distributer?

If you sell in the UK or Germany, you can now identify products to potentially list in international stores with the new Global demand for your products feature in the Marketplace Product Guidance tool.

Marketplace Product Guidance helps you to make informed decisions to expand your selection both in existing and new stores. Previously, the Marketplace Product Guidance tool only provided tailored selection recommendations via the Category insight feature.

With the new feature, you get a personalised list of products from your existing catalogue that have demand in other international stores to help you identify which products to select.

You can also explore key data like the sales forecast for your products in other stores, your category trends and performance of similar ASINs in other stores.

You’ll now get recommendations for the following stores:

  • From the UK: US, France, Italy, Spain and Germany
  • From Germany: US, France, Italy, Spain and the UK

To access the feature, go to Growth, select Marketplace product guidance, and then select Global demand for your products.

For more information, go to Marketplace product guidance.

Profit Calculation Method Question
by Seller_HmXs9Pk97Wcpt

Hi all

This may seem like a silly question - But when calculating our NET profit, should i take VAT off of Amazon's fees? i.e. Here is my current method of calculation

- We are VAT registered.

- "Ex-VAT" column is based on 20% reduction of fees.

A secondary question, should I take VAT off of Advertising costs?
