Hello Moderators,
Our listings have been incorrectly marked as pesticides by Amazon for over a month. We sell a cleaning device (made of sewn textiles) for the sport of disc golf.
We’ve opened ten cases with Seller Support, and despite escalating to the Captive and Restricted Products Teams, each time Amazon’s response has been, “We received your submission for the following ASINs and we have determined that there are currently no restrictions on the listings.” This has happened ten out of ten times. A simple visit to the Manage Inventory page shows that all of the ASINs listed in the cases have inactive offers, whether FBA, FBM, or both.
Of the ten cases, one of Seller Support's responses asked us to remove "repellent" from the descriptions. We explained "repellent" is part of the fabric description phrase "water repellent 1050D nylon exterior" and updated the phrase to "water-repellent."
"Fix listings" -> "Request approval" brings us to the pesticide training page. From there, there's is no way to access a selling application without falsely conceding these products are pesticides by going through the training. Even then, we are unsure if a selling application lies on the other side of it that indefinitely categorizes them as containing or potentially contaminated with pesticides. We're not thrilled with the potential for liability associated with conceding to something that isn't remotely true.
I provided screenshots and a PDF document of screenshots and explanations detailing the issue.
