Read onlyI recently have had two orders refund at first scan for orders that were $100 or over. Previous months those amount totals were never refund at first scan. Why all the sudden is amazon allowing this? $100 was the base, after tax order was $107, on both orders. I thought 100$ was the threshold that was not to be refund at first scan?
Us too! We just came to the forums looking for answers, both orders Amazon refunded today were over $100.
Hello
I will reach out to our partner team to request further details, so if you can provide an Order or Case ID, that would be helpful.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could look into this for me—thank you in advance. I've been selling FBM for over a year now, and I've never had orders of $100 or more marked as RFS. Below are the order IDs for reference.
One of these orders involved a customer purchasing a phone, removing the power supply, and then returning the item. I specifically switched to FBM to avoid dealing with automatic refunds on high-value items like this.

Please let us know what you find out, this just started yesterday. We ship 400 + orders everyday with 99% of our items being over $100 and we do not have the time or manpower to upload return labels to all of our return request just to be exempt from this. We do get quiet a bit of returned items that are not ours so having to file that many safe t claims will be a problem instead of just being able to not issue a refund.
Same here. No announcement or wording from Amazon regarding this change.
Yeah, I am still waiting for a response, this will absolutely change the game for FBM sellers if they are auto refunding big orders now
Im waiting a response on it too... It is unaceptable with the quantity of return fraud that is going on those days.

Hello @Seller_ItzmQ2WaIKQN3
How to file a SAFE-T claim: steps and best practices
The above link has information about when and how to file a SAFE-T Claim.
Did the return shipment experience any issues in transit? Is the return still on its way back to you?
KJ_Amazon
Because amazon continues to allow customer fraud & buyer scams. They don't care and will deny your safe T claim with zero valid reason. Speaking from experience. They know it's a problem but don't care because the money is coming out of the sellers account.
This is the key to amazon fraud for years. We all know that we don't really know what's in the box untill WE RECEIVE IT AND INSPECT IT but amazon will always GO AGAINST YOUR RETURN SETTINGS- and give the refund at first scan and then leave you to deal with the problem on your own. SAFE T claims are a total joke. It's like they work with their eyes closed and don't bother to look at pictures or proof.
The reason why sellers get scammed out of money and damaged items is because amazon continues to allow customers to fraud us- meaning : Full refund at first scan, while still in transit, without truly knowing what's inside and is it still in new condition.
Solution: AMAZON needs to honor the return settings of the seller, that's why the settings are there to begin with.
AMAZON needs to WAIT UNTIL RETURN BOX IS RECEIVED to issue any refund.
That will end 90% of customer fraud.
Will they do anything to change this? Nope. It's been going on for years. It's to the point where "how much more can you tolerate from Amazon before you quit this platform ".
