Read onlyHi
I am a new seller and sadly getting such bad support from Amazon. We've been struggling to list power banks and earlier it kept rejecting due to error in manufacturer name, which there was no option to rectify. Then Amazon support suggested me to delete the listing and list again, but even after 10 days of deleting the listing, I am unable to list it again - as it keeps referencing back to the deleted listing (through the UPC code). The ticket (16552357061) is open for more than 7 days and I am getting no response (even when I call - they say they cannot do anything except waiting)
Anyone knows how to get more help?
Is this YOUR brand or another branded product? If yes, do you have a "Letter of Authorization" from the brand owner allowing you to sell it on Amazon?
So the easiest thing is to take a NEW UPC code from GS1 and to create a new listing with the correct manufacturer name (your's). Afterwards you delete the previous listing.
We thought of that - but our products are already packed & the UPC code is already printed on the box! So changing that is no more feasible
So you have no other choice than selling them on another platform. And the next batch you print another UPC on the box and sell on Amazon.
Or you can create a new listing and stick the new FNSKU over the wrong UPC.
Understood. Is there a way for us to push Amazon to respond to the ticket, as they mentioned on call that it was an issue in their backend system and perhaps they can resolve it as such.
No.
that sounds impossible. Know that many answers form seller support on the phone are wrong or they don't understand what you mean.
No, seller support can definitely NOT help you. A listing is always and forever connected to the same UPC. Now the question is how you can EDIT this manufacturer name. MAYBE if you delete it, wait 24 hours, list again with the same UPC or ASIN and try. Nobody can tell you if that works. If you can't do it - nobody can. Amazon is a self service platform which you have to handle like a big machine.
Hello @Seller_aXDjKuEuvl7qp- appreciate you posting here in the New Seller Community! And I appreciate @Seller_rI7BZIczK8iACoffering some troubleshooting tips for this UPC issue.
I do see your case as Pending Amazon Action, so while that review progresses, I wanted to make sure you had this recent forums post on UPC best practices handy, as it discusses some possible reasons for being unable to match. If there was an error in the manufacturer name, I agree that using a new UPC will likely be your best path forward, as names do need to match exactly.
You may also look to complete the delete and re-list via a inventory file upload, as this method can help replace data through the Amazon ecosystem, if you've only completed the deletions and re-listing manually through Seller Central to this point.
I hope this information proves useful, and let me know if you run into any further questions.
Best,
Danny
