Listing Lounge: The Perks of Choosing a Professional Selling Plan

We are delighted to have you rejoin us in the Listing Lounge this week. Today’s topic of discussion is all about the benefits of enrolling in a Professional selling plan.

Since this is the Create and Manage Listings category of the forums, we’d like to highlight some of the perks sellers might benefit from while managing their listings.

1. Manage inventory using feeds, spreadsheets, and reports

Features such as Inventory file templates, style guides, and browse tree guides are only available to sellers with a Professional selling plan. An inventory file template is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that contains multiple data columns for describing your products. You can use inventory file templates to upload and update listings on Amazon. Additionally, you can generate customized inventory templates specific to the types of products you sell and list information for different types of products across multiple categories using one template. 2. Eligibility for listing placement in the Featured Offer

For many sellers, Featured Offer placement can lead to increased sales. To give customers the best possible shopping experience, sellers must meet performance-based requirements to be eligible to compete for Featured Offer placement. Upgrade your Individual selling plan to a Professional plan to become Featured Offer eligible. (Note: Featured Offer eligibility doesn't guarantee that your offers will be featured.) 3. Use Amazon Marketplace Web Service to upload feeds, receive reports, and perform other API functions

The Selling Partner Appstore is a one-stop shop where you can discover Amazon-approved third-party apps to automate, streamline, and identify growth opportunities for your business. 4. Ability to Provide Gift Services

If you have a Professional selling plan, you have the opportunity to provide customers with gift-wrapping and messaging options so gifts can be delivered with extra cheer! Offering services such as gift wrapping and messaging has been known to increase sales conversion rates by offering an enhanced buying experience to customers. To learn more about Amazon Gift Services, make sure to check out the Listing Lounge article called, 'Unwrap your Gift Options.'

Other benefits to a Professional Selling plan outside of listing management may include:

  • Ability to set shipping rates
  • Access user permissions/grant access rights to other users to help assist with your account
  • Ability to create promotions
  • Option to use Amazon Business features to create pricing and offers unique to business customers.
  • Ability to calculate U.S. sales and use taxes on your orders
  • Option to use Product Opportunity Explorer to generate new product ideas by better understanding Amazon customer search and purchase behavior.
  • Ability to claim certifications that are recognized by Amazon
  • Option to Manage Handling Time, Transit Time, Holiday settings, Weekend operations
  • Ability to call support from SPS
