FedEx and Other Carrer Adjustments

More adjustments today from FedEx. No explanation. Definitely not dimensional or weight. Not right Amazon for you to do this. Amazon needs to quit this practice until they can 1) provide transparency 2) fix the pricing being passed onto buyers at time of shipping that shows the correct charges.

Hello @Seller_tltjh6QSyzuC8

In some cases, updated carrier-audited dimensions and weights from FedEx are not being displayed in Seller Central. You can review the FedEx website tracking information to check if there are different dimensions/weights displayed there.

Otherwise, if you have questions about why there was a difference between the original label charge and the adjustment/charge issued by the carrier, you should contact seller support and request that information.

It should be transparent and without additional inquiry and investigation. It should also be up front at time of purchase if not related to a dimensional / weight adjustment. It needs fixed to do the proper thing,

@KJ_Amazon

This Carrier adjustment issue has been huge for almost a year now. Could you please explain why Amazon continues to NOT address this issue?

Its nice to hear a mod actually finally reply and acknowledge the issue. Amazon DOES NOT provide the cost for return labels. They did before and removed all that information. Now amazon is providing no clear information on how to calculate the cost for return labels. We use to be charged between 8-15 dollars now its between 8-55 dollars. All amazon says is base rate + surchages + adjustments. But Amazon does not provide how to calcuate that. If you provide the equation you MUST provide how to get the base rate and such. If we contact the carrier, they will not help, then all amazon says is they pass the amount along. The information Amazon provides does not suffice and there is no way to find out if we were charged right or wrong. By the way, most of the return labels we receive for customers are well over $45 and we know most of these are not right but amazon makes it impossible to even find out if we were charged correctly. Please reach out to the team who updates this content for sellers so we can actually understand instead of telling sellers the cost is from the carrier but never provides a breakdown of how to get those numbers. if you go through all the seller forums, this issue has increased DRAMATICLY over the past year or so.

I have shared this feedback with our partner team and they are working to correct the issue with carrier-audited information not displaying accurately in Seller Central.

New feature to update product dimensions and weight for return labels

If you’re part of the seller-fulfilled network, you can update product dimensions and weight for Amazon prepaid return labels through a new returns feature. Please review the above link for details.

I started another thread on this same subjject and am waiting to hear back from you mods once you've gotten your answers from your side. But I can DEFINITIVELY tell you Seller Support is completely worthless on these matters.

I sent them my cases, where the size and weights enterered by us were EXACTY matches to the carrier audited figures, and there were no fuel charges but we were still charged.

In our three cases it showed we entered 48 oz but was audited to 3lbs, 32 oz but was audited to 2 lbs and 16 oz audited to 1 lb. Now of course ALL of those weights are the same as there are 16 oz in a pound. But also, we NEVER enter weights as ounces anyway. That has to be something happeing on Amazon's backend but regardless they are the same weight.

We received a reply telling us these charges were valid because the weights were off, so apparently no one at Seller Support has above fourth grade math skills and have no understanding of US weight system. Either way we replied again asking to escalate and then got the same exact answer back again. SS has become increasingly useless and this is without question by design. They are making getting answers and resolustions as painful and tedious as possible so we just give up.

FedEx is a bait and switch company, phantom charges is their specialty, address correction, special handling packages, the excuse that their machines duplicate, triple the dimensions, they know it, they know they are profitable beyond any complaint, they usually deny the cases, if you want to save money do not use FedEx.

Its truly a disgrace. They are the ONLY site we have any issues like this with. We ship the same exact items for years without issue. All of a sudden last two years these phony "adjustments" and "others" charges are coming up. We should ALL be refunded as these are bogus fees. I could understand if they were real. In our case and I am sure many other cases, NOT at all legit

It took me 1 month to persuade Amazon to dispute this charge to FedEx. FedEx acknowledged and issued the refund - to Amazon (because the FedEx account is in Amazon's name).

For the past month or so, Amazon has been hoarding onto my refund from FedEx. They have not credited me back as promised within their imaginary 24 hours!! The support tickets are being transferred from agent to agent, to the extent that I am blocked from contacting Amazon in that matter.

Amazon has truly become a company that doesn't know and doesn't care when things break....and the countless bugs in their system... don't get me started!
