Read onlyMore adjustments today from FedEx. No explanation. Definitely not dimensional or weight. Not right Amazon for you to do this. Amazon needs to quit this practice until they can 1) provide transparency 2) fix the pricing being passed onto buyers at time of shipping that shows the correct charges.
Hello @Seller_tltjh6QSyzuC8
In some cases, updated carrier-audited dimensions and weights from FedEx are not being displayed in Seller Central. You can review the FedEx website tracking information to check if there are different dimensions/weights displayed there.
Otherwise, if you have questions about why there was a difference between the original label charge and the adjustment/charge issued by the carrier, you should contact seller support and request that information.
Hey, please update this thread if you find a solution. Thanks
FedEx is a bait and switch company, phantom charges is their specialty, address correction, special handling packages, the excuse that their machines duplicate, triple the dimensions, they know it, they know they are profitable beyond any complaint, they usually deny the cases, if you want to save money do not use FedEx.
Its truly a disgrace. They are the ONLY site we have any issues like this with. We ship the same exact items for years without issue. All of a sudden last two years these phony "adjustments" and "others" charges are coming up. We should ALL be refunded as these are bogus fees. I could understand if they were real. In our case and I am sure many other cases, NOT at all legit
It took me 1 month to persuade Amazon to dispute this charge to FedEx. FedEx acknowledged and issued the refund - to Amazon (because the FedEx account is in Amazon's name).
For the past month or so, Amazon has been hoarding onto my refund from FedEx. They have not credited me back as promised within their imaginary 24 hours!! The support tickets are being transferred from agent to agent, to the extent that I am blocked from contacting Amazon in that matter.
Amazon has truly become a company that doesn't know and doesn't care when things break....and the countless bugs in their system... don't get me started!
Not just FedEx. We had the postal service decide that a product we ship all the time and we know weighs 13 oz was actually at 1.1 lb. Good luck disputing this.
STOP USING AMAZON TO DO ANY SHIPPING!! Use your own accounts, and you won't have any "adjustments" unless you actually made a mistake.
These are not "carrier adjustments" this is an Amazon Scam / Money Grab. USPS DOES NOT dim 1st class packages under 1 lb, THAT'S NOT A THING.....But when we started getting $2 surcharges on 12 oz packages, we were GONE.
I really love the ones where it looks EXACTLY like this (or when they convert to MM):
Reported Dimensions: 8 x 5 x 12 Reported Weight: 5.0 lbs
Actual Dimensions: 8.00 x 5.00 x 12.00 Actual Weight 4.72 lbs
ADJUSTMENT: $5.65
YES you read that right. All Amazon did was add .00 behind my numbers and use that as an excuse to charge. I have also seen them use .99! There could not be a more absurd and obvious prank being pulled on Sellers. ALL of my packages which were surcharged had the PROPER postage paid :-)
I received an adjustment on a USPS item I didn't even ship.
The customer added to their order, so we printed a new label. But before the old label was canceled, there was a 55 cent adjustment for being heavier that we stated. Again, the label was sitting on my desk at the time, unused. Nobody seemed to understand the issue, or how to appeal, or know the origin of these adjustments.
More than once I've been DIMMED because someone determined the package was smaller than stated. When entering dimensions I round up as instructed, but they rounded down then charged me more.
And of course sometimes they're mystery adjustment for no apparent reason. I've seen several inexplicable $0.01 adjustments. I've seen several DIM adjustments for USPS media mail, which doesn't make sense because media mail is weight based not dimensional. FedEx seems to be the worst offender, I don't use them at all any more. But it's also happening with USPS and UPS.
