Read onlyExactly as the title reads.... Our stores are static for the most part, BUYERS BUY, WE SHIP what they BUY... it is very simple....
But for Amazon, only a daily basis, they destabilize seller's stores via incessant violations, warnings, taking away some feature as punishment, buy box punishment, etc......price alerts, this that and the other.... Why cant Amazon leave well alone, do they understand the phycological impact of constant poking of a seller by presenting a new problem for them to solve, all while trying to RUN THEIR BUSINESS.
Literally every day there is a new issue that blows up your metrics.. and these destabilizing events always happen when your account is on a good run, without any issues.... And these issues are not things we are doing wrong, we are selling what what we offer, we ship on time, we are honest sellers... But Amazon thinks its constructive to constantly throw shade and speedbumps or walls in your path... It never ends....
Comparable to a traffic cop, constantly pulling you over for silly reasons, wasting your time, energy etc...
Yes, they do have a large volume.. i wonder what they are selling? a name brand item.. a consumer cyclical? like toothpaste? .. and yes there are large sellers here in millions a month, but at what cost? 800k spending to bring in 1.3 million...
Would be happy here with 100-200k month in sales, that would justify the headache and nonsense and the spending on PPC
Sorry to hear about these speed bumps @Seller_KcEtz9Bkb8qhY!
Keeping an eye on your account for listing, pricing, or account health issues is certainly a best practice, but we do appreciate this feedback.
For any specific issues, I hope you do post about them here on the forums so our community can help advise!
Thanks much,
Danny
We had 3 negative feedbacks over a 60-day period against 284 sales. Since none of the sales left any positive feedbacks Amazon counted that as a 100% negative and put our ODR score over 1%.
As punishment Amazon flatlined our sales so there is no way to bring that number up unless we ask (against Amazon's rules) any of the other 281 buyers to go and post positive feedbacks.
We are now 2 months with flat-lined sales. Lucky for us Amazon is less than 10% of our total business so the loss which unpleasant has only a minor impact.
We have turned this matter (and a few others) over to our attorney to file for arbitration for unfair business practices, deliberate interference with interstate and intrastate commerce as well as any other issues (like price fixing) that our attorney can bring against Amazon. Its only too bad we cannot do this on a Class Action basis.
They do all that you have described to push us FBM sellers to move to FBA where they actually make money by purposely losing shipments then liquidating them for 100% profit without our knowledge, providing 100% refunds to fraud buyers without seller input, exorbitant other FBA fees, etc.. It is all by design, very sad. Amazon is now run by a bunch of morons who are rewarded for changing systems constantly and making life extremely hard for the American 3P seller.
Amazon has truly become ScAmazon for 3P sellers whether you use FBM or FBA. They want high volume sellers only who are willing to work for 5% profit margins which is totally unsustainable and definitely not a smart business plan unless of course you are from China and are being subsidized by the CCP. My time is valuable, I rather sell less but make more which is why we have shifted to other platforms that are surprisingly doing very well from prior years. I guess Amazon customers are also tired of all the fake and Chinese garbage sellers on FBA so they are buying elsewhere.
This is 1000% on purpose. They are trying to drive you OFF the platform. They need the market share and have been quietly putting the parts in place to run off all small sellers with the endless b*llsh*t fire drills. They don't care about you or how they screw you over on sales. They literally don't care and they will F you over at every turn. This is what your entire future will be full of, chasing amzn bu**sh*t. endless fire drills and ZERO actual seller support. Good luck with the canned emails and running in circles. It's one of the many reason I left this platform. Total waste of time these days. 5-10 yrs ago this place was workable, not anymore. Run for the hills asap.
Dealing with Amazon’s constant challenges isn’t easy. However, since no other platform matches its sales potential, the best strategy is to stay informed, proactive, and positive. Stay strong and positive no matter what comes your way.
This isn't a bug it's a feature. I literally never read a single thing they send me because it's all garbage. My seller page displays constant warnings about god knows what. I don't care. I have my inventory, I get an order, I ship it on time and thats that. Ill get a negative review about something completely nonsensical every now and then. Some percentage of some metric is off or whatever.
I had this same thought tonight over dinner.
I sell my items. I ship them in timely manner, getting good reviews, a normal amount of issues, and I always ship using usps and I ship every single day. I provide the same level of customer service on Amazon and exact same business practices I use on other platforms that I have sold with much success and not issues for many years on other platforms.
Yet when I log in to Amazon, ever single day theres some dumpster fire, random metrics have issues, performance notifications, etc.
I always look at the never ending issues, vs what im doing, and I cant figure out what else to do. It really is just almost funny to log in daily just to see what violation I have committed this time, by just selling items, and shipping them.
You could not have stated mine and other sellers thoughts any better, there are many sellers that experience the same thing.
