Hi Sellers,

Welcome to our Ask Amazon Q&A with the Account Health team, focusing on your questions about Account Health Rating! This thread will be open today, May 30th, from 8 am to 5 pm PST.

What is Account Health Rating (AHR)?

Your Account Health Rating indicates your selling account’s adherence or compliance with certain Amazon selling policies. It is displayed on the your Account Health page as a color-coded score that ranges from 0 to 1,000. It provides near real-time status of your account’s health, letting you know if your selling account in a particular store is at risk of deactivation. A green AHR means your account is not at risk of deactivation based on the policies comprising the score. A yellow AHR means your account is at risk of deactivation. And when your AHR is red, your account is either eligible for deactivation or already deactivated. If you have questions about how to engage with and interpret your Account Health Rating.

Here are some helpful posts that provide additional information and best practices on Account Health Rating:

Please include any questions you have regarding Account Health Rating in this Ask Amazon event thread. Our partner team will be reviewing the questions that come in throughout the day and we’ll do our best to respond as soon as possible.

“Your Account Health Rating indicates your selling account’s adherence or compliance with certain Amazon selling policies”

- This statement above leaves out any mention regarding how sales volume influences our AHR. My Rating has been decreasing due to a drop in sales compared to last year. So many sellers are expressing confusion about the steady drop in their AHR because the change in sales volume seems to be left out of the articles explaining AHR.

Could someone please explain the reason changes in sales volume is being factored in to “Account Health”. Again, referencing the statement above, what selling policies are not being adhered to when we experience a drop in sales due to economic shifts? Many sellers are already hurting with sales slowing in the marketplace and it seems unfair to penalize our Account Health for it.

As a small seller my account rating is just over 200. How can a small seller increase their rating (besides selling more items)? Small sellers feel they are one event away from being at risk of deactivation.

In fact, I have a suggestion to make the Account Health Rating fairer. Today, this indicator only takes into account the quantity of products sold. Our products have a much higher value than the Amazon average. For Amazon, therefore, sellers like us who sell 100 units of $1,000 products per month are much less healthy than sellers who sell 10,000 units of $5 products, given that we generate twice as much revenue and commissions for Amazon.

Amazon could consider the dollar value sold to assess the health of the seller. Since this indicator was implemented, our sales have plummeted and we have never, EVER, had any problems with compliance, selling policies, etc. Our account has always had excellent performance indicators.

So it doesn't seem like a fair number for sellers like us.

Ours has been dropping steadily for the last few weeks, and we don't have any performance issues. Sales are down, but this is true for many sellers.

Hi @Jameson_Amazon, longtime seller here.

Thank you for making this thread.

Our Canadian account Health is "Healthy" with a rating of 268 and all of our Metrics and ODR are above the requirements.

For three weeks I have been trying to get a hold of forum moderators and seller support regarding our Featured Offer Eligibility disapearing account-wide. There has been numerous threads about this over the years. Sadly Account Health support, seller support and forum moderators have yet shine a light on the situation.

I've just created a new case this morning with a list of ALL of are active ASINs that are affected (100% of them).

Could you kindly look into this for us? Or forward this case to the appropriate team and forward us any update? It's been going on for 3 weeks at this point and our sales were basically cut in three. Here's the case:

CASE ID: 15364550701

Thank you so much,

We had 1 issue left in the account, which was related to information on the ASIN page, which we did not manage. After communicating with support we got the answer that we, as a non-brand owner, can't do anything and we need to wait 6 months until this problem disappears from the account.

My question is: How do these issues that were not resolved by the appeal but disappeared from the account after 6 months affect AHR in the future?

P.S If any of the sellers already know the answer, I would also love to hear it.

What I think is frustrating is when Amazon hits us with a compliance request and AUTOMATICALLY our metrics take a hit and we lose sales across the channel. We have the necessary documents, and testing already completed and submitted them in the past but with this new testing compliance it has be to be done with a 3rd party. This causes further issues, and takes weeks to resolve.

This causes our products to lose demand because people can not find the item on Amazon. Their number #1 source for getting the product they are going to source it elsewhere.

I can understand taking down the listings pending but why do ALL of our products get affected because of this? Problems like this keep our mutual customers from finding the best products on your platform.

When our account rating is 1000 all green and healthy, but we have a few (no impact) policy violations that have all been submitted to- does this still affect our chances of getting the buy box? I have seen numerous times, where we are a bigger seller and have sold more on a certain sku - than another vendor- and yet they still get the buy box. Even when our price is lower. I am wondering if simply having any violations, can impact buy box eligibilty?
