Help Us Help You!

Very often when listing violations appear on the Account Health page, Selling Partners will utilize the Amazon Seller Forums for assistance. When creating posts where assistance is requested to address listing violations, our moderators are requesting a detailed description regarding the specifics of those violations so that the best assistance can be given.

For listing violations, posts are often made where a Selling Partner may state “my listing has been deactivated for authenticity concerns” or “I have received a intellectual property violation”. For these types of scenarios, our moderators would need to know the exact category (such as “Received Intellectual Property Complaint or Restricted Product Complaints) and the exact infringement (such as “Counterfeit” or “Pesticide claims”). The reason for needing such a significant amount of detail is because appeal paths can at times be very specific in their requirements.

Using the previous examples, we would ideally like to see detail such as “my listing was deactivated under the Product Condition Customer complaints with a Defective tag” or “I received an intellectual property violation for a Trademark on a Product Detail Page”. By sharing this additional information, our moderators will have a better understanding of the Selling Partner's situation and will be able to provide more direct guidance regarding the specifics of their unique situation.

Generally, the more detail that can be shared when requesting assistance for these violations, the more information our moderators can in turn give in their replies. Please ensure that the information provided does not include any personally identifiable information.

“I received an intellectual property violation for a Trademark on a Product Detail Page”.

Totally broken and dysfunctional. Anybody can call themselves an agent of the company and the Auto-Bot believes it. The seller is shut down on the product selling.

Everyone, of the complains we have received have a fake agent name and an email address not related to the actual manufacturer.

Amazon could have addressed this issue 20 years ago if they really wanted to do something about it. They place a bot in charge to stop the seller selling, and that is all Amazon wants to do. It costs way too much to investigate the situation, so as far as Amazon is concerned, the DO-NOTHING Policy works just fine here.

A buyer saying "doesn't seem authentic" is NOT an intellectual property complaint. Its an unqualified opinion and Amazon does NOT have the expertise to make any judgments about it. Amazon deactivating a listing based solely on this can be considered intentional interference with interstate, intrastate and international commerce - all Federal crimes.

So we need to explain ourselves even more because Amazon doesn't understand their own policies or follow them, only to get the same "help/response" from support departments?

Which is a scripted and repeated response regardless what the sellers are trying to get Amazon to understand so they can get (most likely won't/can't) help with the issues.

Amazon had a recertification process last June and sellers had to provide all kinds of information to be "validated" if that's what you want to call it.

Ever since this verification, we've had more fake sellers, bad actors, drop shippers, etc.

Amazon is still allowing just anyone to sell on their platform without "verifying" that they are "real" sellers.

Good luck sellers! :)

That's not helpful.

Your system is completely broken. Your bots falsely flag our listings for "trademark infringement" simply for using common words that happen to be trademarked by big brands. Yet you allow pirates to sell exact copies of our listings (thankfully nobody buys from them).

All we are asking is for you to turn off your broken bots.

I had a violation in January 2023, which caused my score to drop 4 points. It was and is, my only violation ever. The item in question was removed immediately. The points have never been regained, not after 180 days, not after 365 days.

In fact I am 8 points lower on average, than BEFORE the violation, even though I have had many sales, and it is now 15 months later. All my other health scores are at 0% or 100%, whatever the threshold is for maximum performance. Why are the points never recovered?
