As we kick off 2025, there's never been a better time to leverage the power of video content on your Amazon listings. Whether you're a seasoned seller or just starting out, understanding how to effectively use product videos can dramatically impact your conversion rates and customer engagement. Let me share some eye-opening facts about video uploads and walk you through some recent updates you might have missed.
Almost one year ago we shared an in depth article called: Listing Lounge - Enhance your Detail Page with Videos, where we shared with you that videos on detail pages have been known to:
- Increase sales by up to 9.7% *
- Shoppers who view videos are 3.6x more likely to convert than non-viewing shoppers? **
Since customers use detail page videos to make more informed buying decisions, we recommend your video highlight the benefits of your product and show them how it works. In some cases, you might require more than one video to address all of these needs. For example, some customers might need assembly instructions while others might want to understand what makes your brand or product different from competitors.
Did you know that you can upload more than one video to a single listing? Up to 5 videos in fact!
You can follow the instructions below to start uploading your product videos:
- Navigate to Catalog → Upload and Manage Videos in Seller Central.
- Click Upload Video in the right hand corner
- Fill in the required fields. You can even indicate which video type you’re uploading so we can show customers your videos in relevant placements throughout Amazon.
- Click Submit.
Did you know in September 2024 videos uploaded to product detail pages that are available across multiple Amazon stores may automatically display on shared global listings?
To display videos on your shared listings across multiple stores, navigate to the Upload video tool and follow the standard video upload process. When available, your videos may automatically display on multiple stores.
You can find a list of stores where your video is displayed on the Upload and Manage Videos page in the video library, above your video’s title.
If you want to exclude a video from one or more stores, do the following:
- Go to Upload and Manage Videos.
- Click the trash icon next to the video.
- Select one of the following options: (1) Delete from other stores, excluding the current one or (2) Delete from all stores, including the current one
Start uploading videos to your global product pages on the Upload video page.
