Read onlyI'm planning to launch a re-branded product with a new brand name and listing soon. I'm only doing this due to trademark issues. Can i launch the new product under a different brand name and listing while the existing branded product continues to sell? I just want to sell the remaining inventory of the existing listing then delete it. I ask because the products will be similar in appearance and function, but different only in brand name. Thanks for any help provided!
you are required to create a new listing, so this isn't even optional anyways. Each product and packaging must match exactly to the listing. That the products are the same doesn't matter, 55 brands of the exact same coffee maker on Amazon too...
Hi there @Seller_8YxLz3hKuaVV1
I wanted to piggy back off of what @Seller_4zBzdtgCyS9EI said above. Any type of rebranding does require a new listing to be created so that part remains the same for your question. That being said, we do recommend to only start sending in inventory in for the NEW ASIN once you get low on inventory for the OLD ASIN as the two products won't be "competing" against one another. Again, this is just something we've seen other sellers mention they've done but it's up to you as it's your business!
Long story short, yes you can create a new ASIN for the newly branded product as the brand is the differentiator.
