Read onlyI am trying to list my second product on Amazon. I am selling generic products, but have purchased my GTIn certificates from GS1 as my brand name. At first I thought I couldn't list as Cozei because I didn't have the correct identification, was receiving a different error. Then I tried listing as a generic product and am now receiving this error code. The first product I listed was a generic product with a GTIN under my brand and had no issues but for some reason this product I cannot list. Does anyone have any tips/solutions?
Hello there @Seller_VL4a6Joj3CMDX
My name is CR and wanted to hop in here. I know some others will chime in with their experiences as well, but wanted to share with you this resource related to Error 8572 from which the below was pulled:
This error occurs when the provided product ID (ASIN, UPC, EAN, ISBN, or JAN) does not match with the brand or product. The barcode you are using doesn’t belong to the brand. Ensure that the product ID used for the given product matches the barcode from the brand. To resolve this error, refer to the scenario wise guidance and reference before contacting Selling Partner Support. For more information, go to ASIN creation policy.

For a generic product you don't need (and I think you are not allowed to use) a GS1 barcode.
The UPC you bought from GS1 has to mention your name EXACTLY how you put it in your "Legal Entity" and "Official Registered address" in your seller account and mention your brand.
With such a new UPC (never, ever used before!) you create a new listing under YOUR BRAND and that should be OK. If you bought the UPC just some days ago, wait two weeks, both systems have to synchronize.
If you use a UPC you tried some days ago, it will not work. It has to be a UPC you NEVER put in in Amazon's system before.
