Read onlyHi everyone,
I have a buyer asking me to provide a receipt with a specific name and address that he provided. I am wondering, as a seller on Amazon, are we able to do this or not?
The "buyer" might be buying using a different ID and wanting something for accounting purposes. Perhaps to claim an ITC for sales tax. I would ask the buyer why they need a special receipt that is different from what amazon provides ?
Years ago I bought a bunch of computer equipment for a client. I did not ask for any change on the receipts. Instead, "acting as an agent" for the client I billed the client for the exact amount paid out and included all the receipts and GST numbers. This was accepted by their tax auditor. Admittedly, that's 30 years ago. Side note: I made my money by charging for my time involved.
...
The "buyer" could download their amazon PDF invoice and do their own modification with a PDF editor. Then the buyer is responsible, not the seller, if the CRA is annoyed.

Likely just doing his/her taxes! I wouldnt stress. I have to go back to vendors all the time and get them to fill in my corp name instead of my personal name etc etc..
Simple .... they are Amazon's customer they are NOT Yours and you did not issue an invoice in the first place. Have them contact Amazon Sales Support and let them handle it.
I just tell them how to print the invoice within amazon. I only once provided a receipt before I realized but it was an accurate receipt. They could be trying to get "2" reciepts to commit fraud. I would want no part of it. You could be on the hook for providing a "fake" duplicate receipt.
