Here is How You Appeal Your Live Plant or Seed Violation - June 29, 2024

by Seller_qso9puw2G5kCa

I have NEWS directly from Account Health Assurance that I want to share with you all!

I recently got off the phone with Account Health Assurance. The Technical Team is actively working on this issue, but it is still in the early stages. When you call in, they are flagging the account and forwarding it to the Technical Team.

First, go through the ASINs in question and look for ANY word that might be construed as a plant or seed. The agent gave me an extensive list such as plant, seed, leaf, shrub, flower, floral...you get the idea. Open your mind to anything plant-related and look for those words anywhere in the listing, title, attributes, etc.

Next, go forward and file an appeal, so that if the Technical Team can't resolve every issue in time, the matter can be resolved through appeal. If your items have NO trigger words or images that you can find, do as follows. NOTE: I ended up finding trigger words on the one Video Game I have filed so far, so I modified my appeal accordingly. The trigger words were on parts of the page that I could not edit, so I explained this and took screen shots and marked up the photos to show where the issues are for documentation.

1. Go to one of the violations and click on Submit Appeal.

2. Click the 2 boxes that state you have read the policies in question.

3. Enter something to this effect in the first box: "This product is neither a plant or seeds and has no trigger words. This is a false violation on the account. Please review the details in the ASINs and resolve the violation." Again, if it DOES have trigger words, you will have to modify this appeal to fit your situation and detail what the trigger words are that you are unable to modify for whatever reason (or should not modify because your item is, for example, flower jewelry).

4. If you have multiple similar ASINs that you can appeal at once, go for it in box 2.

5. Click on Next and upload any supporting documentation. I uploaded marked up screenshots as mentioned above.

Submit the appeal and wait for Amazon to handle it.

I know for those that have an extensive number of ASINS, this is ridiculous. I hope you are able to copy and paste them all in to one appeal. I just wanted to share what I learned in case it can help anyone.

Account health told me not to appeal and that this issue is a known error and is being worked on. With that said, would you suggest I appeal or wait as I was advised per the account health specialist. Thank you

The fact that this has to be done on a massive site it ridiculous. What a total waste of time, effort and worry for nothing. Meanwhile, 75% of the issues they sent to us saying ours was plants or seeds, Amazon is directly selling as well. They cant seem to get this site going the the right direction. All they do is add onto the plates of small business sellers. Then they'll send a survey coating you into saying how great they are for small business. Really frustrating

Try doing this with book titles that include the words flower, plant, seed, and so on.

I did one Appeal , and listed all of the other 75 ASIN numbers affected on that one appeal so that I didnt have to do 76 time consuming individual Appeals.

I put a small line that said that "none of these ASIN's are Plants or Seeds , and none are properly categorized as such" and that this was a known Amazon issue caused by a bot error.

This morning, 35 of the violations have been removed, with about 40 more to go . So it seems they're slowly grinding thru this.

Hope this helps.

Well I have done mine at the first moment I received the violation. That's after when I double check everything and make the appeal with the screenshot of my detail page in amazon

Hey all,

I apologize for taking so long to further reply here.

Please do appeal the violations where able. This will be the quickest way to ensure your account health rating is not impacted and you are able to get your listings cleared.

I do know the implications of this with those of you have a great number of violations, however, I want to make sure you address as many as possible to avoid further impacts and ensure your listings are once more live before the teams here are able to fix the issue.

@Seller_qso9puw2G5kCa has posted this great information and I want to go ahead and suggest following these steps.

Please do not acknowledge the violations as this will result in the deactivation of your listings.

Stevie.

I simply responded:

Reason for Appeal (Required)

This listing has nothing to do with seeds and plants.

This has been going on for days with many sellers. Get it together already.

The violation was removed from my item within hours.

This was weird because it was one color variation out of eight that was flagged... Perhaps the term 'amber' is related to plants somehow, Because that was the color variation that was flagged as a seed or plant item.
