Read onlyI don't know if I'm the only one experiencing this issue (I doubt it), but Amazon Retail has been creating parent ASINs for my products without filling in the brand attribute. When my products are then placed into this variation family, I lose my contribution ranking since I am no longer viewed as the brand owner. I have been able to get this resolved in most cases, but it is becoming a time drain playing whack-a-mole and having to check my 60+ ASINs on a weekly basis for this issue. I have several products that keep getting placed into these variation families over and over again. One in particular ends up with a German title when this occurs and sales immediately drop off. Opening this discussion is probably just a waste of time, but no more so than what Amazon Retail is causing by continually creating these variation families. I have opened cases where Amazon Retail is given as the creator of the variation, and then later I am told that Amazon Retail doesn't create variations. Any suggestion or help from one of the mods would be appreciated, but honestly not expected.
To update: when I attempt to add the Amazon-Retail-created parent ASIN to my catalog, the listing created as the Parent ASIN has a different ASIN than what I put in the flat file. They are completely hijacking my products through this technique and there doesn't seem to be anyway around it other than hope that Seller Support will break up the variation in a reasonable amount of time. @Bryce_Amazon you were the one that told me I should start my own discussion about this issue, do you have any guidance?
Hello @Seller_krZxnfmccBclT,
Michelle at Amazon here. Do you have a case with Seller Support that you can share with me? If you don't have a case yet, please start here and let me know if they are not able to assist you.
Regards,
Michelle
