Countries
Read onlyKindly, I need a detailed answer as I read the forums regarding this, and I was not able to find the answer for my question. I even asked tax experts but they insisted I make sure with Amazon.
I will use an example: I register a US brand with Amazon using US marketplace. I then sell using that trademark under my LLC's name. All my inventory is stored within Amazon's US fulfillment centers. However, I enable the feature of "Allow Amazon to buy my products to sell globally". I know Amazon will be collecting and remitting sales tax on my behalf, but would I still be obligated to register in the countries that Amazon sells my products in order to file and report sales tax outside the US? Or would I just continue reporting in the US states which Amazon purchased those products from me and sold it as Amazon globally?
I apologize if this confuses you but it sure confused me and I cant find the answer!
Hello @Seller_X6s8IDyT0UqYw,
Thank you for the post. While I am unable to provide specific tax advice, I have provided several resources below with more information on Amazon tax guidelines.
After review, if your question is still unanswered, I recommend that you create a case to Seller Support with your question and they can engage the Tax department.
Cheers,
Micah
