Read onlyRecently I had a large discrepancy between my ad spend period and invoice. Campaign manager shows $850 spent while I was invoiced for over $2000.00. I went through and made sure all dates and times matched up as sometimes previous days will be invoiced the next day. I started a case with Amazon about this. Where any of you aware of this? I suggest you all watch your ad spend invoice carefully. This was their response:
"I understand your concern on being charged more than the Spend in campaign manager.
Please note that Sponsored Product(SP) Offsite was launched recently, All SP offsite metrics (marked as nonaccredited) is excluded from all reports except the "Placement report". So the amount you will be charged is the "spend in UCM pages" + the s"pend in 'Off Amazon' placement group from SP placement report".
Sponsored Products offsite ads information:
Sponsored Products is extending U.S. campaigns to premium publishers including Pinterest, BuzzFeed, Hearst, Raptive, Ziff Davis (e.g., Life Hacker and Mashable), and more. Shopper will see trusted Amazon shopping attributes such as Prime delivery promise, ratings, and accurate pricing information – helping customers to make informed browsing and buying decisions even before they choose to click on an ad.
When a customer clicks on a Sponsored Product off-site ad, the customer will be taken to the Amazon web experience. All ads will link to Amazon product pages, making it simple for customers to move from inspiration to browsing or buying in just one or two clicks.
Sponsored Products campaigns will automatically be extended to offsite placements with no additional campaign set-up required, and the ads will participate in offsite bidding when the product is relevant to the page context.
The advertiser will be charged on a cost per click basis, same as onsite ads. While all impressions served will enable the advertiser to increase brand/product awareness with customers who may not have shopped on Amazon, the advertiser only pay for an ad when the customer clicks on it.
Amazon will detect and mitigate invalid traffic for Sponsored Products off Amazon store by leveraging the same invalidation systems across Amazon Ads.
>> Why is Sponsored Products going off Amazon store?
Sponsored Products has been helping advertisers drive consideration and purchases of products on the Amazon store. We know that shoppers are interested in learning about advertiser's products, whether they are shopping on or off the Amazon store. With this launch, we will meet shopper needs off Amazon store, and in turn help advertisers drive more demand that will help grow sales.
>> Limitations and features not available:
These new offsite placements allow the advertiser to extend the reach of your campaigns. We currently do not offer offsite-only campaign controls such as separate budget, specific bids, separate campaigns or separate targeting.
We currently do not provide domain level reporting.
Your understanding in this regard is appreciated."
Hello @Seller_XvFEUPHS4TwMZ
You don't say whether or not you opened a case to begin steps toward resolution. I understand you believe that you were wrongly charged for offsite ads.
If you have not opened a case, I suggest you do so using the link below which goes directly to the advertising team.
