⚠️ [CNBC] DOJ charges six people in scheme to bribe Amazon employees

:open_mouth::pensive::angry: Just now, from CNBC. I bolded some text.

The parties alleged to have participated in criminal behavior are 3P consultants–have you used any of these? :grimacing: Be very careful out there!

The Amazon Anticompetitive Agreements Class Action Lawsuit is Audrey Wells v. Amazon.com Inc., et al. , in the Superior Court of Québec, District of Montreal, Canada

:information_source: As a friendly reminder, the focus of this thread is not necessarily on Amazon’s alleged corporate crimes against Seller and customer humanity–or any other company’s, for that matter–but more so on the alleged actions of the conspirators named in the indictment, and how Amazon’s practices, policies, and procedures perhaps facilitated such actions, either on the front end (allowing Seller black hat shenanigans, making Sellers desperate, fostering a culture of so-called consultants, etc) or the back end (lack of adequate personnel standards, lack of oversight or supervision, etc).

October 15 is Thursday–hoping for some additional info or updates. :crossed_fingers:

From an article I had not seen–some good questions about Amazon’s possible culpability in this case, particularly to @M_L_H’s and @gusfirefly’s points of the “employees” involved–how much of employees were they, in terms of supervision, benefits, upline, hiring and firing, etc?

Though due process, under the law, must take place, I also know that what the DOJ indictments state is ‘True’. I figured out the corruption and collusion last year while I experienced:

The Takedown:

  1. Under the protection of ‘Brand Registry’, take over an ASIN that is not ‘Brand Registered’ or does not have the protection of ‘Brand Registry’ (if such a protection even exists, I wonder)
  2. Change Images, Titles, Description, and input a new Brand Name (one that has Brand Registry protection)
  3. Contact Seller Support or use the ‘Report a violation’ tool within Brand Registry to place a violation on the Target Seller/ASIN. This ‘partially’ locks the Target Seller out of their account with limited privileges. The action also removes the listing/product from Amazon’s search
  4. Manage the Target Seller’s calls and/or emails to the Seller Support, Performance Notifications, Seller Performance and other Teams. This is the Loop aka Run-a-round.
  5. After 3 weeks or more, as the Product Listing is no longer in the Catalogue, ALL keyword rankings are lost which places the Product on Page 7+
  6. Bring back the Product Listing and Target Seller Account, if it suits them

In my case, #6 didn’t take place as I used some IT Technical Knowledge which enabled Amazon’s systems to Auto-generate 2 “Manually Yanked” support emails, which went to some other Team(s) that looked into the matter for resolution. Product Listing was out for 3 weeks.

The perpetrators tried to frame a couple of Chinese Sellers. My product competes against products ‘Shipped and Sold’ by Amazon. There are various individual US Sellers in the business arrangement with Amazon to sell these products. And, on other threads here, I have already put up graphs of Amazon’s use of its internal systems towards Keyword Ranking Manipulation of these products that compete against mine.

So, my experience from October 2019 clearly maps to what the DOJ Indictment states.

Ah, it’s almost October 15, 2020.

This is what it looks like when Amazon uses its Internal Systems to manipulate Keyword Ranking for its own ‘Shipped and Sold by Amazon’ Products:

Color code:

Black: A competitor

Dark Blue: Amazon’s Product #1 (Notice, that is doesn’t move past ranking #30, is it a co-incidence that other Sellers on other threads are stating that their Keyword Rankings “fell” to 31??)

Red: Amazon’s Product #2 (Notice, that it comes out of nowhere straight to the top, does not move past ranking #100 and keeps bouncing back to the top. Amazon is trying to position this product within the Top 20 Position)

Light Blue: My Product, which is merrily bouncing around being affected by Amazon’s shenanigans.
The point at which the Red & Dark Blue Meet, My Product takes a fall in ranking, else it was heading to the top, Organically.

And, this is 1 Keyword. There are plenty more that display this manipulation.

 Any possibility that the situations mentioned in these two topics–and which I can verify additional Sellers are also currently experiencing, though they have not posted–are yet another pay-to-slay attack from bribed Amazon “insiders”? More black hat tactics from supposed consultants?

I hope the DOJ investigation is ongoing and does not stop with just the current 6 indictments.
