First, I have amazon looking into this issue so I have contacted them and they are aware. But I am interested in the whole concept and if anyone else has had this issue.
I recently listed a couple of items and they are/ were killing it. then all of a sudden my inventory kept going to zero on one item. I never understood why until I started changing the quantity and then watched as it dropped by half then to nothing. I then looked at my canceled orders…193 canceled orders today and they are these two items. The second item didn’t start until just now.
I have inflated my inventory and made it a max order quantity of 1 per customer so it will take these jerks forever to deplete my inventory.
Amazon initially said that of the three canceled order numbers I gave them, they were not the same buyer.
Has anyone ever beaten these bots, or obviously Chinese affiliated sellers?
But I am interested in the whole concept and if anyone else has had this issue.
You’re not alone. Tagging @SEAMOD since this seems to be a pervasive problem caused by Chinese counterfeiters that threatens to ruin Christmas for a lot of sellers.
Also tagging @Maintak since he posted a similar issue, but if his is also a Chinese attack, they wiped out his entire inventory. And @papyrophilia who would be interested in this for sure.
wouldn’t it be great if we could find away to jack up the price insane and hold the funds for a while.
Yes, this is a common account sabotage technique. As well as sabotaging your sales it can also get your account suspended for rank manipulation (fake orders). So it isn’t just your inventory that is under attack, it is your account. You did the right thing by bringing it to Amazon’s attention before there were consequences.
