Items falsely flagged as dietary supplements, multiple listings inactive, 4185 units of inventory stranded for 14 days and counting

The system has falsely flagged my ASINs as dietary supplements with A Legal Disclaimer appearing on every product detail page. The affected items are in fact preserved flowers, which has nothing to do with supplements.

img

img

The false flag has resulted in 4185 units of stranded inventory for 14 days and counting. Through communication with Seller Support, I was told that these items are not restricted and an internal team is working on it. But I'm waiting day after day without getting any results.

img

My account health is all good with zero violations. I'm brand registered and created the listings all by myself. I have tried literally everything. My attempts through flat files to reactivate the listings have all failed: Because the system has erroneously misidentified my items as dietary supplements, it put a restriction on my listings.

img

img

The impact of this issue on my business has been damaging. I not only lose sales but also have to pay for storage fees. Amazon, such a huge corporation, should be able to easily fix a system error like this.

Please advise. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Case ID: 15906478451

Case ID: 15889271001

Thanks.

This is a prime example of just how disorganized the Amazon site is.

- A Bot falsely identifies the wrong issue.

- To have the product reinstated, you have to write an appeal to another team unrelated to the bot.

- To make things worse, you are told that you have thousands of products in FBA inventory not selling.

- And FBA is still going to collect the storage fees from your account.

Four different independent teams, none of which can communicate with each other, even if they wanted to. Amazon expects the seller to fix the problem, all the while collecting fees as usual.

This, exactly.

Amazon is a self service platform and rarely they "fix" something. In the best case seller support will tell you how YOU can eventually fix it.

In your case it's the fault of your wording in your listing. You made some health claim and the AI is thinking that you sell a dietary supplement.

Maybe did you list in the wrong category since it's written "You are not authorized to list products in this product line or category"? You can try to make Amazon change the category, eventually that will resolve the problem.

Nevertheless, don't wait that anybody will fix it. My suggestion:

Take a new UPC from GS1 and create a new listing avoiding such claims. Google also for "Amazon new restricted keywords", there you see forbidden words which will alert the bots. There are certainly more such words, that's why, after the listing creation wait some days. At the same time you unfortunately have to create a removal order and when you receive the units put the NEW FNSKU on it and send in again some units.

The products will be sent back in batches slowly slowly.

I don't see it on the ASIN you're posting about but as you showed in your original post, the following screen capture is showing on another of your listings (link to PDP), just below the Compare with similar items and the videos:

Are you sure you haven't entered that statement or checked a box somewhere in your listing? Was that statement showing on the ASIN you referenced before you began removing content?

Good Afternoon @Seller_trIvoljJSsFin,

I wanted to stop by and see if I could help address the issue you are experiencing. The CASE IDs you shared seem to be issues that are different than the one you have discussed here on this forums post. I believe the most relevant support case is CASE ID ending in 3231 which it looks like you spoke to an AHS agent on yesterday September 12th, 2024. How did that conversation go?

I see that you also have CASE ID 15889271001 which is discussing that you need to apply to sell your own ASIN? To address this I have escalated to one of our internal teams to review. They should get back to us within the next few business days. Hope you have a good weekend.

Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
