The way to compete against amazon is to do research.
For most items Amazon carries, they will run out of stock once every 2 months. That’s when you come in and swoop their sales. (keep in mind not all items amazon will run out of stock on. This is where you need to do your research using some form of history look up software)
For example, we have a item that Amazon will sell at $10.98 as their lowest price. If we sell at $10.98 we will LOSE money.
However, we priced at $10.99 and Amazon will price theirs are $10.98.
Amazon will take 99% of the sales and we may get one sale here and there at a LOST.
At this LOW price of $10.98, MORE buyers will buy it and make the ranking of the listing very HIGH. The increase in demand for the product was not accounted for by Amazon so they’ll run out of stock.
Amazon will run out of stock.
When Amazon runs out of stock, we immediately adjust price to $14.99 and SWOOP 100% of the sales and the listing is highly rank from the last 2 month due to low price. So many buyers are still seeing the listing on their search even if you adjust price to $14.99.
