Read onlyI have been set on approximately 200 orders via UPS worth over 18 thousand dollars. And I have all the documentation that proves the abuse of these charges, in which they change the weight from 33lb to 90lb, among other situations. In fact, I won all shipping disputes that I purchased outside of Amazon and that had the same problem. However, it appears that no one at Amazon knows how to open an adjusment dispute with UPS. And UPS does not accept the seller opening the dispute, because the account holder is Amazon, and the charge is made directly to our Amazon account. I really intend to resolve this through Amazon, without the need to spend money on lawyers. But it's increasingly difficult because I only receive automatic messages from employees who have no idea what they're talking about. I have everything planned, documented and proven. and I can't resolve it because no one knows how to open disputes in adjustment. Can someone help me? case id: 15055397881 any mod can help me please

Hello @Seller_Z6P0x6iB1IZgR Thanks for checking in about your carrier adjustments and for sharing that Case ID.
For those adjustments with carrier-audited weights of 90 pounds, it is very likely that the carrier-audited dimensions showed that the packages were subject to the UPS Large Package Surcharge.
According to UPS, for domestic shipments, a package is considered a "Large Package" when its combined length (longest side of the package) and girth [(2 x width) + (2 x height)] exceed 130 inches, or its length exceeds 96 inches. These Large Packages are subject to a minimum billable weight of 90 pounds.
This is covered on the UPS website page: How To Avoid Shipping Charge Corrections.
I will review that Case ID and follow up with you directly about those adjustments. In the meantime, you can review our seller help page that covers carrier adjustments and how they are determined.
UPS uses a lot of Fake measurements to justify the charges. they will incorrectly give you fake measurements of dimensions to justify the crazy surcharges they give. i hate dealing with them b/c of this reason
I agree with you that no one at Amazon know how to dispute these charges.
I got charged with the same audited charges where the dimension and weight were exactly the same, yet I got charged double from UPS.
I tried to fight it but amazon said contact UPS, and UPS said contact Amazon.
So after 2-3 hours of going back an forth, gave up all together.
hope you find a solution
Lots of people are getting "surcharges" on returns. We have seen a number stating that they don't deliver to our city, when we have a daily pickup along with a number of other businesses so that is a lie. There's a ton of fraud going on with these charges from both usps and ups and sellers are getting pretty fed up.
This is a pretty old case, I doubt I will find it.
These are the kind of correction charges that get to me. Nothing to audit yet you receive adjustments.
I have so many of this, exact dimension but im still getting adjusted. I opened few forum posts, they just said it was "Fuel Surcharge". but it cant be because fuel surcharge should show before purchasing the label. Scammers
Hello @Seller_oDXVaydIpi3Hi. If you are referring to UPS Remote Area Surcharges, I put together the below guide to those surcharges, including how to find whether you are located in a ZIP Code designated by UPS as 'Remote.'
UPS Remote Area Surcharges and Prepaid Return Labels
"UPS applies Area Surcharges to product return shipments going to "less accessible" ZIP codes, as determined by UPS. You can visit the UPS website and search for the "Area Surcharge ZIP Code Listing 2024" spreadsheet for the complete list. On December 28, 2023, these surcharges began to be applied to your account at the time of return label generation."
why not show the surcharge before us buying the label so that we can see the actual price and NOT buy UPS...
Hello @Seller_oDXVaydIpi3Hi
Those UPS Remote Area Surcharges for prepaid return shipments are applied to the label at the time it is created. Prior to December 28 these were added as adjustments, but that is no longer the case.
Prepaid returns for seller-fulfilled orders
You can read more about the prepaid return label program in the above help page.
Yes, "Remote" or "Rural," whatever term is being used at the moment. In our case, we are in a city, literally on Main St and get hit with those on returns despite daily pickups and deliveries anyways. We don't get charges like these on returns from other platforms, any vendors, or anything that gets shipped from here. Just another nail in the amazon coffin for merchant fulfilled sellers, too.
How about Fedex? I got charged extra for fedex shipments. Fuel surcharges, additional handling, etc.
My best suggestion is to NEVER use UPS shipping through Amazon! The contract the made with each other in 2023 allows them both to show a rate and then change the rate when their automated system measures wrong. It is a huge crime going on right now. Use other shipping models or you will continue to lose.
use getida - they will make cases and reply promptly. worth it
"And UPS does not accept the seller opening the dispute, because the account holder is Amazon...."
And that is why you have no recourse to solve anything. You paid Amazon to run the back end of your business for you so you can just sit back and see the profit come in.
No one at the FBA Centers will do anything, because there is no incentive to do so. The product is not Amazon's, Amazon does not pay the overage (the seller does), so Amazon just pays what comes thru from the UPS site.
And lastly.... The product is gone and delivered to the buyer, so the ones you are questioning, don't actually exist to be verified.
I hope you get someone to help you with these abusive charges. Amazon has made it difficult to resolve any case involving unfair correction charges.
i also had a similar issue, with an item that was 8 oz and 4 x 4 x 4, usps reported the weight was over 2 lbs * impossible * and they upgraded to priority and added 9.30$
Not alot of money, bu t it happened quite a few times, i did the same thing you did, filed cases, etc, no resolution at all.
My guess is if they do this to alot of people they make good money, it may not even be amazon doing it.
