Hello, I've been trying for a while to list the product with a "Generic" brand name and GTIN exemption, however keep getting the same error that GTIN exemption is required. I got the message when starting to recreate the listing with the approved category: "You have been granted an exemption to list without a product ID. This takes up to 1 hour to take effect. If you are unable to submit this right away, please save this listing as draft and retry after some time." Do exactly as it says and keep getting back to GTIN exemption is required. Please help. Feels like I missing something, but can't see what.

Brand registered with US Gov & Amazon, GTIN Exception Granted. Will need to create duplicate listing with wither GTIN Exemption or UPC and from the management console request a merge.

What will happen to old FBA inventory on the losing old ASIN?

Is it better to use a new GSI UPC or GTIN Exemption? Will not need to be in store.

I am looking to sell generic compression socks. I got a GTIN Exemption for the category "Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry" and I am able to verify this in the View Selling Applications. However, when I list a generic product under the category "Health & Household" I was able to list it without error but I do not see the GTIN Exemption for that category. So I am wondering, if I am allowed to sell generic in the "Health & Household" category?

If not then why was I able to list it without any error? Why does it not clarify the GTIN Exemption policy for that category in View Selling Applications?
