Update brand from generic without UPC code

I have listed following listing as a FBA link while as a generic product. If I want to update the brand without any UPC code should I print the brand name both on product and on package or is enough to print only on the package/ cardboard box...?

Amazon rules state that its impossible to update a brand name. Especially when its from generic to your brand.

Some black hat sellers do this because they are breaking the rules.

The Amazon policy dictates that you must now create a new listing. The Amazon policy argues that changing your brand name from generic to the name of your brand is considered "rebranding" and, therefore, not allowed. I know. Its silly but those are the rules.

Based on your post, I am also assuming that you are unaware that you must have brand names approved. You can do so by trying to create your item with the brand name and following the prompts which will result in you submitting information.

Or you can get a trademark and go the brand registry route.

Either way, they both require "live" images of your item with your brand name permanently affixed to it. Therefore, I would suggest printing your brand name on the product rather than the box.
