We have some seller-fulfilled items with Two-Day Delivery enabled as an option (this is NOT Seller-Fulfilled Prime). But when the Second Day FBM order comes in as a "Ship by" Friday order, we expect the "Deliver by" date to be two business days after it, which is Tuesday. Instead, we have been getting Monday as the delivery date. It seems that Amazon is counting one of the two days in the weekend as part of the transit time.
We opened a case on Amazon about this and we were told to configure settings such as the handling time, but we checked our settings and they all seem correct, and some settings do not apply to what we are talking about (e.g. our default handling time is already 1, and it doesn't apply to Premium shipping anyway). Note that we do not have Shipping Setting Automation (SSA) on.
And that is really what we want to ask about: is there a shipping setting in templates or item where we can count only the business days and not the weekend for transit time?
