Removal order fees

I recently removed my remaining units (270 something) from the Amazon warehouse.

Due to a larger issue in where my account was hijacked. And my brand name was changed. Since there has been no resolution to that issue in over a month. I removed my units as I was very unhappy with the fact that Amazon has done nothing to help this issue. I was afraid that I would run into storage fees or low stock fees. So I decided to remove the remaining units and delete my account. I feel that the amount I was charged for the removal fees is honestly absurd.

I would never have removed my product in the first place if Amazon had just correct that my brand name had been changed. However since I don't have a trademark "there is nothing that can be done".

I don't think it's fair that I end up having to pay hundreds of dollars in storage fees due to a problem that I did not create.

Hello @Seller_CZGHNlVtCP1Bf,

Thank you for your post. I have found some great information that will help assist you with your removal orders.

Did you know?

As we continue to highlight FBA removal processes and options here in the Manage Inventory category, today we're discussing FBA Liquidations. As an alternative to removal orders, donations, and disposals, this option is designed to help you recover value from excess and customer-returned inventory, avoid storage fees, and prevent the disposal of inventory.

When liquidating your inventory, you can recover a portion of your inventory cost while avoiding monthly storage fees and aged-inventory surcharges

Recovery Value and Fees

The recovery value for your goods is determined across factors including your sales history, the average FBA selling price on Amazon, and the sales history of the specific ASIN. Liquidators will purchase this inventory for a gross recovery value, which is typically 5-10% of the total value. After processing and referral fees are deducted, the net recovery value is disbursed to the seller. Processing fees range from $0.25 for the smallest standard items to $1.90 + $0.20/lb over 10 lbs for oversize items, while the referral fee is 15% of the gross recovery value.

For more info including product eligibility, example values and fees for different removal options, and how to create a liquidation order or enable automatic liquidations, please see the FBA Liquidations help page and the Seller University FBA Liquidations: Overview series, and share any questions you may have below.

Cheers,

Micah
