No UPS Ground pickups today (Christmas Eve)
We asked our UPS driver yesterday about pickups today (24th) letting him know he could pickup at 12 noon if we wanted as we were closing early today. He told us that wouldn't be a problem as he anticipated most of the business on his route would be closed. Fast forward to today and he shows up at noon and informs us that he isn't picking anything up, and that UPS Ground was not doing pickups for anyone today. Did anyone else's UPS driver inform them of this modified service schedule beforehand? It seems like even our driver didn't no know about this until today. Also, did Amazon know that one of the big three carriers was shutting down pickups on Christmas Eve?

We only have UPS deliveries today, no pickup. This will also occur next week on New Years Eve.

Yes, our driver told us about the Wednesday schedule on Friday last week. Note to self, be sure to have his gift ready for next week.
In the 35 years we have been doing this I can not remember a pickup service on Christmas Eve.

Same for us and as some one else mentioned they will not be picking up Ground on 12/31. I am surprised that Amazon is allowing them to do this.
