How Is Everyone getting Seller Feedback Reviews?

I have noticed a drop in the frequency of seller feedback reviews. I used to get 4 to 5 reviews per month but now I am getting 1 review per month with more sales.

What is everyone doing to to get more seller feedback reviews?

That is unusual, unless Amazon has changed the way it nudges customers to leave reviews ... or your customer base has changed and the new audience is less likely to leave reviews.

As for other means, many brands are bending or breaking Amazon's rules with impunity:

  • Swapping out products that have a good review history with new unrelated products on the same ASIN/SKU
  • soliciting only 5 star reviews from known customers (and using illicit means to identify them outside of Amazon)
  • using 3rd party services to get fake reviews
  • Using package inserts asking for only 5 star reviews or straight up bribing them with gift cards

Amazon has cracked down on many of these methods in the past, but there's always a new crop of hustlers who don't give a FF about rules or consequences. One of the 3P services was blatantly doing it right on these forums a few weeks back!

Do you use any third party review request software

I don't use any third party services for anything unless they are absolutely required (for instance, by bookkeepers) and even then permissions are severely restricted.

I don't believe 3P service provider claims. They break stuff. They are generally overpriced. When Amazon cracks down on the services that break ToS, the sellers are collateral damage.

I always wonder Why Amazon don't come up with instructions for the costumers on how to provide feed backs like they do when you buy from them ? Many things are not fair with Amazon !

My last item that went into the top 100 ranking gets 200 sales in a little over a month, no ratings, because happy customers don't bother to leave a review.

One "not so happy" customer left a 3 with no comment.

Rating system is broken and needs a huge overhaul.

1. Auto 5 Star after 30 days of no rating for the sale

2. Ratings under 4 require a comment so the seller can address the issue.

Unless you are overseas and buy ratings, then its ok apparently.

All I can say from my past experience is DO NOT USE VINE! They will butcher your new product before you even get it going. Example, I sell joke funny golf gloves and had a priest and a religious person both leave me 1 star reviews. They BOTH said in the review that this was the nicest golf glove they had ever tried on for comfort and durability bu tthe joke did not belong on the golf course so.... 1-STAR. And these two ppl were in the first 5 reviews we got. Amazon refused to remove the reviews. I have since not used the VINE program for probably at least a $10,000 loss to Amazon as we have added over 50 new products since then and we would have used VINE for every one of them. And be very careful on working with any of your customers too. We got dinged hard by trying to make our customers happy that left us any negative review simply by asking them if we could help them out as we saw they had a prolem. Amazon almost deleted us for this so we now have zero customer interaction or cusomter service due to this. We cannot lose our account. Just be careful and follow the Amazon policies 100% which IMO means do nothing and sell sell sell ;)

You might do what the Chinese do and offer a gift for a positive review - but that would be against policy, right? but lots of them still do it

And with AI trying to write at the top of page what is good/bad about the product I'd rather have no reviews so the freakin bot will NOT have a go at buggering up what is written by buyers

what is even more LOL is when we have a product with high returns (b/c they do NOT read the bullet points) and there are no negative reviews about why they returned it - b/c they don't want to be embarrassed for not knowing how to use a ruler.

Amazon customers are getting tired of the automated emails coming from Amazon. And they are actually not aware of the importance of feedback. (I did a survey a few years ago) Asked 100 customers of mine, if there was something we could have done better? - Only 38 replied, and said everything was perfect, thank you. I followed up with a feedback question asking was there anything holding them back from leaving a good feedback review,? Again a huge drop, only (18) Replied "well, Amazon is NOT eBay, it just seems like a waste of time" -

All (18) of them said virtually the very same thing...
