Assistance with eliminating fake review

Dear Amazon Community Team,

I am reaching out to bring to your immediate attention a serious issue regarding a review that is in clear violation of Amazon's community guidelines (Community Guidelines). Upon careful examination, we have identified this review as fraudulent. It does not reflect a legitimate customer experience and appears to be deliberately designed to mislead future buyers and harm our product’s reputation. We rely on the integrity of Amazon’s review system to ensure fair and honest feedback that guides purchasing decisions. Fake reviews undermine trust in both the product and the platform, distorting the customer experience and setting unfair expectations. Therefore, removing such content is essential for maintaining Amazon’s commitment to transparency and the delivery of genuine customer feedback.

Reasons to suspect that it is a fake review from a fake profile:

- Unusual review activity has been noted from this profile. The reviewer is labeled only as "Amazon Customer."

- Their comments often consist of vague or repetitive phrases, such as “Great product” or “Worst ever,” without any specific details about the products.

- There is no constructive feedback on how the products failed.

- Non-genuine buyers often leave excessively negative or exaggerated reviews, such as “Worst product ever! Don’t waste your money.” These reviews typically feature extreme ratings, whether very positive or very negative.

We respectfully request that Amazon take prompt action to remove this fake review. Its presence compromises the authenticity of the review ecosystem and negatively impacts the shopping experience for future buyers.

We value Amazon’s commitment to fostering a fair and trustworthy platform. Addressing this issue swiftly will help ensure that only legitimate, helpful reviews are available to customers.

Review details are below:

You are not talking to Amazon here, this is the seller forum.

Amazon will not remove this review because it's not violating the guidelines. This is a personal opinion from a buyer.

If there is "unusual review activity" on this profile, the AI will find it and remove the review. That happened to me, but it took two years.

Honestly, you have great reviews. Someone spamming negative feedback is one thing, but this is less likely. You can however report the review. That is about it, unless you see it being massively done by the same buyer to tank a listing.

Are you the seller of record for these ASINs? The ReviewPal website states that the service will "Collect Positive Reviews, Keep Negative Ones Away" which is against Amazon's product review guidelines, including:

A seller diverts negative reviews to be sent to them or to a different feedback mechanism while positive reviews are sent to Amazon.

Not clear, but the username matches a third-party reputation management service that lists Amazon as one of its "review site integrations" and states up front that it aims to "Keep your business looking great by getting feedback from unhappy customers privately."

This user has been posting similar requests for review removals for weeks on the seller central forums, including this gem for the same product:

"I have a review that I’ve reported several times, and it absolutely needs to be taken down since it is harming the business. This review does not comply with Amazon's community guidelines."

The review in question is completely legitimate: "Looks and feels very cheap. Fogs up soon as shower comes on. No clue how this has 4.5 stars."

Dear Amazon customer, I have a good idea how this product has 4.5 stars ...

While a negative review is not ideal, it won’t impact your seller performance metrics. As a general rule, Amazon doesn’t remove customer reviews, unless they violate Community Guidelines. If you see a review that does violate our Community Guidelines, you should report it.

Here’s how:

  1. From the product detail page, find the review in question.
  2. Click the “Report abuse” link and follow the steps to report the review.
  3. You can also email community-help@amazon.com and report the review there (but know you’re not likely to get a reply from this alias, even if they take action).

Below I have linked some resources that provide additional information around reviews.

@Seller_rI7BZIczK8iAC is correct in that the review isn't violating any guidelines. Your product still has a good rating and if I were to come across that review, I honestly wouldn't pay much attention to it because it says nothing.

On another note, your last bullet on your PDP (the "About us" bullet) is violating policy. You might want to consider removing it.
