2 of my ASINs were removed by Amazon after being identified as “escrima sticks, bo staff, or a similar blunt force striking device.” The products in question are wooden kendo practice sticks.
I had this exact exchange with Amazon Customer Service in March 2024, where after careful review, Amazon recognized that the products indeed were NOT weapons, and then approved my products for sales. I subsequently sold these products on Amazon for 8 months without a problem, and currently am holding FBA inventory equivalent to $46,000. Not only that, there are numerous sellers on Amazon that are currently selling basically the same category (kendo stick). Amazon even has product categories named 'Escrima sticks', 'Bo staffs'!
I appealed to reinstate these ASINs but was rejected by Restricted Products Team without any explanation or comments on the points I’ve made. All I’m getting is a regurgitation of the “This product has been identified as “escrima sticks, bo staff, or a similar blunt force striking device.”
Forceful removal of the inventory will completely bankrupt my business and I need help very urgently.
