Amazon system is set automatically to suppress any act that is not in compliance with Amazon policies or suspected to be in violation with Amazon policies. When the system generates any issue, human beings must know the root cause of issue to resolve it. If they misunderstand the cause of the problem, they can't resolve it correctly.
For example, if your listing has the word "Gucci" for the intention of comparison, for key words purposes or even just because of a misspelling, soon or later, Amazon system will suppress your listing because it contains the brand name word "Gucci". And this issue can be resolved easily by removing the word "Gucci" from your listing.
In the one scenario, if a seller partner support team member wants really to help you and activate your listing, but he doesn't figure out that the system has suppressed your listing because it contains the word "Gucci", he is not going to be able to resolve your issue even if he really wants to.
In a worse scenario, a selling partner support team member will mislead you and complicate the issue more instead of easily suggesting you to remove the word Gucci. And unfortunately this is the case in most issues.
To resolve this issue of this Gucci word example, the team member is asking you to apply for approval to sell the brand Gucci or asking you to provide documents and LOA to activate your listing. And it's exactly here when sellers enter in endless loops with the Seller Partner Support.
Sometimes, the system may have recommendations and suggestions for resolving the issue, but these are based in how the system is programmed and may not always be correct.
If the listing contains the word Gucci for example, the system recommendation will be to get approval to sell the brand Gucci and to provide the LOA and invoices. It will not suggest to simply remove the word Gucci from the listing. Even if the listing is just mentioning Gucci for a matter of comparison and is not intended to sell a Gucci product.
So, here comes the role of human beings to resolve the issue correctly by removing the word Gucci from it. And once they do, the system will automatically reactivate the listing. But unfortunately, Seller Partner Support in most cases are working like another bots, and not like humans.
Amazon needs to train the Seller Partner Support team members property to firstly understand the root cause of the issues correctly, and then provide human beings suggestion to resolve it.
Unfortunately, now we are dealing with automatic system bots that generate the issues. And again hit by the Seller Partner Support Bots who don't provide human beings support to resolve most of the issues easily and correctly.
So, sellers need to be very very very careful to avoid any actions that may trigger Amazon automatic system bots to suppress their listings even by mistake or suspection.
Spend more time and days in building your listing according to Amazon Policies. Also spend more time and days to confirm that there will be no suspect or suspension of your listing to be in violation with Amazon Policies even by mistake. And remember that this will save you from the nightmare of dealing with the Seller Partner Support Bots. It will save you from a real torture called "dealing with Amazon Seller Partner Bots".
An experienced seller once said "Amazon is a self service platform. Seller Partner Support can help you only when there's a glitch in the system". I know most sellers doesn't has this point of view regarding the Selling Partner Support, but I guess they should.
Finally, when an issue occurs, it will be better to rely on your self and figure out that it can be resolved easily by removing the word "Gucci" from your listing instead of got misguided by a seller partner bot who will repeat the same original Amazon bot suggestions for you.
*Note:
The "Gucci" word example in this post is intended for illustration purposes only ☺️. But surprisingly, a team member has contacted the internal team and they confirmed that I must get approved for "Gucci" brand to mention the word "Gucci" in this post. So, I am not going to be able to comment on this post again until I get approved. Wish me luck in my approval journey. I hope the approval process don't fail because if failed, I will have to create a removal order for my post or all my post units will be disposed.
Wish you the best
