Brand owners need to know how to get their brands gated without being a major 1P vendor, meaning, Amazon will not accept applications from random unauthorized sellers to create ASINs under our brands or list on existing ASINs under our brand. Amazon's lack of transparency on this topic thus far is unacceptable and offensive to brand owners who struggle to protect their product pages from bad actors.
I applied for a brand registration. How long does it take for the team to review it?
It's been more than 24 hours, I'm worried
Hi,
I submitted my Brand Registry application with images showing the brand printed on the product packaging (the box), but my application was rejected. Can you please clarify the specific reason for the rejection?case 17100119981
Thank you!
What is the recourse when Amazon bots destroy an unclaimed brand's listings?
For example, "Nocona Belt Co."—where the majority of belt listing variations have become orphaned. When we attempt to remerge these orphaned listings under a single parent, we receive a flat file error stating that we don’t have the rights to merge them.
Amazon has done this to us across multiple brands, including some for which we have official brand registry. In the case of Nocona, the listings they’ve destroyed have historically generated over $500,000 in revenue for Amazon. Yet now, we’re abandoning these listings because there’s no viable way to restore them. Appeals through hundreds of cases have been met with nothing but generic responses—essentially, "sorry, not sorry."
At what point does Amazon recognize the massive destruction of value, both for sellers and their own bottom line?
We have been trying to get our brand registry since early 2024 and keep getting denied with no clear answer as to why from our appeals. We have followed the steps exactly, and even our account rep from last year could not seem to get to the bottom of it. How can we get this resolved?
We've applied a couple time but we just get this answer
Hello from Amazon Brand Registry Support,
We would like to inform you that our internal team has investigated and found the following:
We are unable to approve your Brand Registry application because the trademark on the application either violates the intellectual property rights of others and/or is highly likely to be confused by customers for an established brand.
To protect the shopping experience of our customers, we are limiting the volume of brands with similar names at this time.
This decision cannot be reversed. We will contact you if this decision changes in the future.
Unfortunately Seller Support cannot provide you more information than this.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again from a new case.

Brand registry case #17091046331
Also checked my emails and I had another case opened for some reason. I thought I was directly replying to the same number other case # 17075799091
I didn’t want to open another case I wanted clarification why it was taking so long
Our Brand Registry registration has expired. Our authorization to use the Manufacturer Barcode has been revoked, reverting to FNSKU usage. There is a large quantity of stock in AWD and in transit. Implementing this change instantly without prior notice is unfair.
I'm third party seller on Amazon for 10 years. I'm selling personalized products. All of my products were listed under my store name. I modified my store name and applied Trademark for it as my brand name. Then I registered my brand with Amazon Brand Registry. My brand was approved by Amazon Brand Registry. I would like to have my existing listing sync with my brand name so I can use all the brand registry features such as A+ content....to my existing listing. Would Amazon Brand Registry team take a look into my case to see my brand having a minor change from my store name and update the brand name on my existing listing? Do I have any hope it could be done? I don’t want to create new ASINs because I'm having more than a thousand of positive review on my existing listing. Thank you!
