Hello! I need advice and insights on uploading images.
I sell products on various marketplaces. Initially, I had global English photos uploaded on all marketplaces. Now, when I have photos prepared in specific languages for each country, I can't seem to replace them. This has been an ongoing issue. Even though I use bulk upload and select a specific country, the photos either don't display at all or there's a mix of languages. The system indicates that the photos have been added successfully. After noticing that the photos still don't appear on Amazon live after a few days, I try to re-upload, but I get a message: "Failure – Resubmission of previously accepted/rejected image." How do you handle such situations? How can I make the image upload/replace process less time-consuming, problematic, and more effective?
It seems there might be something I don't know or I'm doing incorrectly. I also tried to delete all the photos from a particular product to upload new ones, but those photos are still there, even though they don't appear in EDIT-Images or the image manager. Is there a way to permanently delete photos? The only situation where there is no issue is when adding photos to products that never had any pictures uploaded before.
Every piece of advice is worth its weight in gold.

That is not possible. ONE ASIN = always the same pictures on each marketplace.
if you want different pictures in each marketplace, you have to create a new ASIN for each marketplace.
Hi there @Seller_7CoyPeN5m2q1o,
The information provided by @Seller_rI7BZIczK8iAC is correct. Any differences between products, including packaging language, is considered materially different and as such should have their own ASIN. If the product doesn't match exactly as the listing was originally listed. You can review the Product detail page rules for further information. If you have further questions on this feel free to reach out again with your most recent Seller Support case and I can review and see what options I can offer. Thank you for your understanding.

@Seller_7CoyPeN5m2q1o If you are Brand registered and talking about European accounts: type in your searchbar "imaging/upload/country" and look if you find a solution.
This is Amazon. Nothing is simple or less time-consuming.
This is a long explanation issue and can have several issues, but the short version likely relates to your "Detail Page Control" over these ASINs in other Marketplaces being to low to effect the change. Many times it doesn't matter if you created them.
That is because once uploaded they can only be replaced, not deleted.
I hate to go against someones advice, but the same ASIN in different Marketplaces doesn't have to share the same images.
Also, creating new ASINs in different Marketplaces prevents Reviews from combining. So not something I'd suggest.
This comment has no relevance to ASIN's in different Marketplaces. I'm not sure why it's here @Glenn_Amazon. The same ASIN in another Marketplace can have different images according to Amazon.
I'm going to quote some Dogtamer, with some minor edits, instead of writing up my own version.
Dogtamer - "Amazon actually does support a mechanism for exactly this - use different Language of Preference images for the same ASIN - for 21 of the current Global Marketplaces, via the Country Specific Upload (link) ‘sub’-Dashboard of the Image Manager Dashboard’s “Bulk image upload” ‘tab.’"
Back to @Seller_4Ko0M2LxNBAQN for some additional comments ...
I'll separately point out #3 on file names as I have before -Image files must be named by ASIN + variant code + file extension (for example, B000123456.MAIN.jpg)
And then this from the bottom of the help page: "Country specific upload doesn't support US-specific uploads at this time. To upload images to show in the US, use the global bulk upload tool."
Go figure .... how dumb is that? Doesn't cover the US?
It is not impossible, but some of the onus falls to Amazon, and the fact that there are already images.
1. Try the link given and wait to see is Amazon will use your images. Again though there is a "Detail Page Control" issue at this point if they don't update within 48 hrs..
After you make sure you have images uploaded in the desired language for each Marketplace, you may have to open a case in each Marketplace. Be sure to give your Seller SKU in each case.
It will almost certainly take multiple attempts on the same case to get Amazon to intervene. Keep reopening and ask to escalate to the Catalog Team after the first few times they say they can't do anything.
2. "Detail Page Control" is nothing you can control.
Here's some old info I wrote up from a now removed Amazon Help Page.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a Combination of information from the Amazon help page .... (NOW REMOVED) ... and information pulled from other places on Amazon.
Page Ownership
The product pages created by sellers become part of the Amazon catalog. The pages are intended to be a permanent feature on Amazon.com, available at any point in the future to buyers and to other sellers.
As the creator of a product detail page, you are responsible for its initial content.
After this point though, Amazon may pull "contributions" from other sellers.
Detail Page Control
The information displayed on a single detail page is drawn from multiple seller "contributions."
"Contributions" - When a seller contributes product information to an existing item in our catalog, a decision is made about whether to display the information on the detail page. This decision is processed automatically according to business logic known as "Detail Page Control."
Because we have many contributors to our product pages, our system combines all the information provided into the best possible product page. The product page you see on Amazon.com may reflect the details provided by multiple sellers. There is no guarantee the details you supply will be visible on Amazon.com.
Detail page control rankings are not modified manually, but are regularly and automatically reviewed and updated by our system.
Some factors that impact detail page control are :
In some cases, a detail page you created may display information you did not contribute or you may not be able to edit a page you created. This happens when another seller has detail page control for that product and editing permissions have been reassigned to them. This contributor can be Amazon (known as "Amazon Retail") or another seller.
