Read onlyI am beyond frustrated with Amazon’s outrageous and unethical handling of my recent SAFE-T claim. I was wrongfully charged $1,553.94 for a return shipping label—14 DAYS after I had already paid $151.19 for the original return postage. No warning, no notice, no chance to dispute it—just a massive, unexplained charge dumped on my account.
🔹 Amazon refuses to provide proof of the supposed weight and dimension discrepancy.
🔹 Amazon ignores valid appeals and sends copy-paste responses instead of an actual review.
🔹 Amazon exploits sellers with delayed, unjustified charges that go against fair business practices.
🔹 Amazon refuses to acknowledge their own billing inconsistencies.
Despite multiple requests, Amazon has failed to provide ANY official carrier documentation to justify this charge. Their support team has continuously denied my appeals with generic responses, completely disregarding seller rights and fairness.
THIS IS A WARNING TO ALL SELLERS—Amazon can and WILL hit you with massive surprise charges weeks after a transaction, without any real proof or justification. If they decide to take your money, good luck getting it back.

Hello @Seller_Dz8jeCgCEKOXW- and thanks for starting this discussion thread.
I wanted to make sure you had our resources on Carrier shipping correction charges handy, as it does provide some crucial information for avoiding such charges from our carriers in general. You may also look to our SAFE-T Claim help page which does advise that "Shipping adjustment charges are not eligible for SAFE-T claims (for example, where a buyer sends back the return in a different or bigger box)."
Did you ever order something from Amazon only for the item to arrive in a box that is 3x the size of the item?
Happens all the time.
I've always wondered why amazon does not send the proof of damaged items OR ANYTHING (not even a pic when the return/refund is initiated-absolutely NOTHING) when it comes to a refund. To the seller as it's THEIR account the funds will be refunded from, NOT amazon. All explanation is vague and is NOT helpful in understanding the issue so good luck with NOT repeating the same issue. So why would amazon NOT provide proof instead of a vague claim and an amt taken/stolen (perspective) money from our accts? From the sellers perspective this enables total fraud and lets Amazon play God with our money.
I have another example
Amazon damage my products in FBA and then claims that I damage it.
In other words Warehouse damage change to Distributer damage.
but there is also "carrier damaged" and according to Amazon policy
Amazon-fault damages are a result of transit or handling issues and include inventory dispositions such as "carrier damaged" and reconciled "warehouse damaged."

ALSO IT DOES NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT PARTNER CARIEIE OR NON PARTNER CARRIER
They know in FBA that I damage units when I send them in AND NOT THE CARRIER.
This is why they do not use "carrier damaged" because they have to give refund on it
Then try to ship it yourself?
Pay for the warehouse space and hire someone who won't steal too often, or do it yourself if you can. I do this, but have to do a lot more work.
The "grass is always greener," especially over the septic tank. :-)
You need to file for arbitration. Its the only way you will win.
As a Taxpayer of the United States Federal Government and your Local state, plus the Sales Tax you collect and pay (or is being collected on your behalf) to each state that your orders are being shipped to; You have every right to contact all the Federal and State Authorities and file a complaint against the Aggressor.
If you and every other 3rd party seller, chooses Not to, this will just continue and if anything just get worse.
Continue to collect these unfair business practices that Amazon continues to violate and file a complaint with the FTC and your state DOJ. We have submitted over 200 cases to the FTC and the State of Idaho DOJ. At some point, they will go after them.
