Read onlyDear sellers and Amazon team!
We´re getting ready for our first FBA shipment and were planning to use the manufacturer's barcodes with the "no prep needed" option. Here's the situation: our products come in boxes with UPCs printed by the manufacturer. These boxes then go into individual mid carton boxes, which don't have UPC barcodes. Those mid-boxes go to the master boxes that do have UPC barcodes as stickers.
My question is: do the mid carton boxes also need UPC barcodes, or is it okay to just have the UPC barcode on the master box and on the product box printed (but they are not visible because they are inside the mid carton box)? Alternatively, should we think about using Amazon's barcodes instead?
Thank you very much!
The only thing I can recommend is: DO NOT stick an UPC on these master boxes. If they contain for example 20 units and you sell your product per 1 unit, each customer purchasing 1 unit will luckily receive 20. the system thinks: 1 box, 1 UPC, 1 order.
If you have the correct shipping label on the master box the system knows how many units are in the master box. UPC ONLY on each product!
