Surely this is past the delivery deadline?
Since you declare you used Amazon buy-shipping, and assuming it shows as being sent out by the shipping deadline, you should advise the buyer to file a claim for non-receipt.
If Amazon honors their promise they will fund the refund and it will not impact your metrics.
