New Listing Experience is not live yet

Dear Handmade sellers,

We understand there's been confusion after the New Listing experience and Product Type Reclassification announcements coming in Q4.

The launch will begin gradually in the upcoming weeks but won't be fully live for all SPs until mid-end of Q4.

Once available, the new listing experience will not have an immediate impact on your existing Handmade products, you will not lose your sales history, ratings, or reviews.

It will enhance your Handmade products discoverability and searchability when customers search and browse in standard categories.

Subcategories will now be Amazon-specific subcategories, allowing customers to discover and learn about your Handmade products on the Amazon stores in nearly every category. Once reclassified, products’ sales ranks will change from ranking within Handmade to ranking within their corresponding standard product types.

Handmade products will remain discoverable within Amazon's Handmade category and all products search.

Please make sure to carefully review the following FAQ:

And stay tuned to the Handmade Hub for the latest updates.

Thank you,

The Handmade Team

Is the "New Experience" live now?

I have received this email 2 times this week:

Use Inventory Templates with the New Listing Experience!

The new listing experience provides you with added features and tools to showcase your handcrafted goods, which may improve your products’ discoverability and increase your sales.

To create a product on Amazon, you will now use the standard Amazon listing experience with a new “Handmade Classification” attribute. You will list new Handmade products in standard product types rather than listing them in the previous GUILD product types. For example, a Handmade caddy should be listed within the CADDY product type instead of within the GUILD_HOME product type.

The new listing experience offers two options: creating listings individually or in bulk. For both you will use the standard Amazon listing experience with a new “Handmade Classification” attribute.

When listing products in bulk, you will need to enter under the “Handmade Classification” column whether your product is hand-altered, hand-designed, handcrafted, repurposed, or upcycled.

Please note: You must use the BETA version of the template and choose only one marketplace at time. If you opt out the BETA version or select more than one marketplace, the Handmade Classification attribute will not appear.

The new “Handmade Classification” attribute ensure that your product appears within the Handmade store. If you list a product without adding the “Handmade Classification” attribute, then the product will not be included in the Handmade category. That means that your product would not be discoverable in Handmade’s store, would not receive Handmade’s referral fee, and would not receive other Handmade benefits.

Important note: You should only add the “Handmade Classification” attribute to products or brands that you own. If you are not adding a Handmade product, do not include the “Handmade Classification” attribute in your listing.
