Read onlyIt seems like Amazon is blocking or restricting brands left and right.
The biggest issue is with brands that we have been selling for years!!! Amazon has suddenly decided that we need approval (again) to sell brands we have been selling for an extended period of time.
The problem is, when we try to submit our application through the "add a product" tool, the brands come up as "unavailable", and we can't even apply to sell. so now we are stuck with thousands of dollars in inventory because Amazon suddenly decided to start blocking out brands.
Has anyone else been experiencing this? does anyone have a solution? please help!!!
Hi @Seller_1C2SvCuxPrFsD,
I understand your frustration with the recent restrictions on brands you've been selling for an extended period. It can be extremely challenging and concerning when you have inventory tied up due to brand approval changes. Please know that the Seller Performance team at Amazon is committed to providing a trustworthy shopping experience for customers by ensuring product authenticity and quality.
That said, I recognize the impact these brand restrictions can have on your business operations. Amazon does periodically review and update brand requirements to align with rights owner's preferences. While this process aims to protect intellectual property and customer trust, it may inadvertently affect long-standing sellers like yourself.
Here are a few suggestions that may help resolve your situation:
Check the Restricted Products page: This page lists categories and products that require specific approvals. You can search for the affected brands here to understand the current requirements.
Contact Selling Partner Support: Reach out to Amazon's Selling Partner Support team and explain your situation in detail. They may be able to provide guidance on how to obtain the necessary approvals or offer alternative solutions.
Review the Brand Reference File: Amazon provides a Brand Reference File that lists brands requiring approval. Check if the affected brands are listed, and follow the instructions provided for each brand.
Seek approval from the brand owner: In some cases, you may need to directly contact the brand owner and obtain their approval to continue selling their products on Amazon.
Utilize the Brand Registry: If you haven't already, consider enrolling in the Amazon Brand Registry. This program helps protect your brand and may streamline the approval process for your products.
I understand how frustrating and disruptive these situations can be, especially when they impact your inventory and sales. Please know that the Seller Performance team aims to balance the needs of sellers and customers while upholding Amazon's high standards. If you continue to face challenges, don't hesitate to escalate your case or seek further assistance.
