Hi @Seller_YmrYPEJDGm1pM
Thanks for your report about these two ASINs. If you have not already done so, please report the abuse through the link below.
We prioritize maintaining a trustworthy selling experience by addressing reports of abuse. While automated processes detect and act on abuse at scale, we appreciate sellers' individual reports.
Susan
please resolve this issue here because it is the amazon's policy that clearly states that
Shifting reviews from one product to another is illegal
at this point the bad actors are playing chess and Amazon is playing checkers. Or Amazon has decided to hold sellers from outside the US to different standards, or a little of both.
Remember when you were going to adress all the fraud ( fake gold ) in the jewelry space?
This is a joke of a response, we report and noting ever happens. Amazon is a complete black box with ZERO accountabiity. Until Amazon takes anything seriously and provides FEEDBACK and ACCOUNTABILITY, nothing will ever get done.
the same issue! I've reported again and again via Report Abuse, but nothing has changed.
Hello @Seller_nBUcRErQhJ4JW
I was unable to get the business team to take action on the issue of fake gold jewelry being listed as real on our platform. This lack of response was disappointing, especially given we do not have a dedicated category manager overseeing the jewelry category. The presence of counterfeit products misrepresented as genuine undermines customer trust.
Thanks for continuing to show up in the forums to share your feedback.

And this is how it usually ends for all of us too... then we come here and complain
So to be clear a high level team at Amazon knows these criminals are defrauding consumers and made a decision to continue to allow it.
Funny in a different thread @Michelle_Amazon said " know that we do not tolerate sellers selling items that are not matching what is listed on the detail page and they must match exactly" -
I do agree with your other two points
There is another issue, since Amazon knows about the problem isnt the right thing to do to notify the consumers they have been ripped off and offer to make them whole?
I never thought I would see the day that Amazon would knowingly allow sellers to defraud their consumers. In the long run this is not good for Amazon and whats bad for Amazon is bad for us.
Apparently defrauding consumers is profitable for Amazon. I am not a lawyer, but if you enable the fraud, know about the fraud and profit from the fraud doesnt that make you a party to the fraud?
This product has been listed for only 20 days but has already gotten more than 10,000 reviews. The number of reviews changes a lot—sometimes there are only a few, and sometimes there are over 10,000. It looks like these reviews are copied from other products like books and stationery from different countries.

One challenge I face when seeking help from business teams to resolve seller issues is that those teams often lack direct exposure to sellers and can be overly cautious or lack the empathy of Amazonians who regularly engage with sellers through our forums. We rely on anecdotes and sentiments from you to help build investment from other teams in improving the overall seller experience on Amazon.

The Chinese Sellers has cannibalized all of our sales. Amazon is not taking any of the US Based sellers. It has happened to me, and I have reported them to Amazon more than 4 dozen times. Guess what >? According to Amazon "we have investigated your complain, we see the other seller is in compliance." Haa.. I guess I am just delusional, and Amazon Seller Support is of no use to us.
I don't understand how are they able to merge a different niche products? For us, merging our products is challenging, and they somehow are able to merge other niche product effortlessly.
Look at this, the product is clothes steamer, however all of these reviews are from Amazon Brazil and are about stationery, not the garment steamer. This type of behavior, manipulating reviews, violates Amazon's rules.

Amazon only cares about amazon. If you are jacked amazon keeps making money. Amazon could care less about your business. I say this because it never ends well for the seller who comes here for help. How many times have you heard a sell come here and say Amazon saved my listing. Zero.
Amazon doesn't have a method to handle issues related to UPCs. Every ASIN that exists is assigned a product ID. Whether that product ID is a UPC/GTIN, GCID (Not even sure if this is a thing anymore), MPN (brand registered/UPC Exempt), etc. In the earlier days of the 3rd party marketplace new sellers were easily granted UPC exemptions en masse and could create any listing. The site filled up with duplicates and fake listings. So Amazon decided that a UPC was required for all new items, and UPC exemptions can be applied for on a per item basis. Then, Amazon decided that all CURRENT listings required a UPC and everyone had to provide one for their listings. The UPCs however did NOT need to be GS1 registered. So disreputable companies would sell UPC packages to Amazon sellers for cheap that were randomly generated. That and sellers would just make up a UPC number because they don't have the real one, which leads us to where we are today.
Hijacking listings has become EASIER, because UPC is king. Everything that is the ASIN, the reviews, the product data, images, weights, sales history...all of it. It all revolved around that UPC, and if someone can take ownership of that UPC, they own the item entirely. I don't believe that any department of Amazon has the tools or permission (per company policy) to fix these things. I'll give you an example:
I am trying to list a product with the manufacturer's UPC code. It's a facility maintenance chemical that comes in a 5 gallon pail. The UPC is GS1 registered under that manufacturer's name. The manufacturer's website shows an image of the product, and the page lists the UPC. I took pictures of the product showing the manufacturer's name and UPC code in the same picture. When I try listing that product, it comes up with a remote controlled helicopter listing. I can't change any of the information including the brand name and images. I spoke to Seller Support who told me to speak to the catalog team. I spoke to the catalog team who told me to speak to Brand Registry support. I spoke to Brand Registry support who told me to speak to Seller Support. I posted on the forums, Mods can't help. There is literally no one who can fix this problem. The furthest I got was "Only the brand owner can change the listing." There is no brand owner for this manufacturer's product on Amazon. The manufacturer doesn't sell directly on Amazon, and there are around 10 of us authorized distributors selling the product line.
Until Amazon takes a step back and examines how the catalog works and creates an actionable policy for seller support, these problems will never be fixed and people will continue to hijack listings.
