Buyer won A-Z claim even though USPS tracking shows delivered?

Hi all,

Recently i had a buyer buy 2 of the same item, and as soon as he received it (USPS tracking shows delivered to his address), he called Amazon filed an A-Z claim and got back full refund, yet i lost my product, shipping fees etc.

I appealed the A-Z claim, showing all details for delivery and the appeal was denied in 5 minutes. I lost my money and my product.

I have been selling on eBay for a long time, and in such cases, the tracking number showing delivered is sufficient proof to close the claim. On amazon, i dont think amazon cares about the tracking number. As long as the buyer says i did not recieve it, its sufficient proof to grant the A-Z and fully refund the customer.

Can more seasoned sellers help me, im still new to selling on amazon, and it really hurts when these cases arise.

I know amazon only want to keep buyers happy, but this is theft. How come amazon does not support small sellers in these cases?

I read somewhere the only way to circumvent this is to buy the signature option for shipping?

Can an amazon associate help me here?

This is correct, sometimes getting a signature will help, but not always.

Scammer heaven here. Build these losses into your prices, it will happen again.

Do these emails make any sense, generated by amazon system? Its contradicting itself.

Why was your A-Z claim appeal denied?

The customer reported an issue with delivery.

In this case, the tracking information indicates delivered, but the customer did not receive the package.

Because you provided sufficient information that proves order was actually received by the customer, we will not count the claim against your Order Defect Rate.

The customer claimed they have not received the item, therefore we have refunded the customer.

Hello @Seller_6qvVjqTcZx2j2- and thank you for looking to the forums for some support on this claim.

Using Amazon Buy Shipping can help guard against experiences like this, and using the signature option does provide a further layer of security for all parties. Within your messages with the buyer, did you try to provide any information supporting the delivery? I do know our teams will review that communication when handling claims.

That said, I have surfaced this claim to our team to request a further review, and will be sure to follow up on this thread as I receive any updates.

Thanks again!
